The game is decently fun, but if I'm being honest, the last two Doom games were objectively more entertaining. DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal both felt better to play while this one feels a bit awkward. There's quite an emphasis on using the shield in this game that makes survival difficult when you don't use it constantly for defense. Its almost as if the intensity is equivalent to DOOM Eternal but doesn't have nearly the same amount of fast-paced movement options. Then there's my issue with the controls doing whatever they want on occasion. The game seems to automatically melee after parries no matter my input unless I delay my input.
Overall, its still a Doom game. You get to beat the Hell out of demons and blow stuff up with lots of guns. The plot is strange and crazy like the previous ones. Unfortunately the GORE kill animations from the previous games are gone and the music isn't the same without Mick Gordan.

Better than Tarkov

Game's pretty good. I like it. Simple controls and gameplay, yet still has its challenges. Rewarding experience as you expand. No problems in this game seem out of place. Only suggestion I have is the ability to remove walls as they block farmland, but I also see that as a challenge of foresight, so not a big deal. One of the few games where I could easily see myself playing this on the side to something while never feeling bored by it.

This is probably one of the most well made "early access" games I've played. So far the only real con to this game is the multiplayer stability which most definitely will improve over time.
