This is a really fun "zen"/endless game to just zone out and play.
I REALLY like how the gliding physics feel. It just feels so good. I was literally sold by the steam store page's video.

My one wish for this game is would be for the developer to add hand-crafted maps to the game. Race maps where the goal is to make it to the finish with challenges that require pitching your player correctly would be cool, and hand-crafted Freestyle maps that take advantage of the artifact/gem score mechanics better would be nice.

Early Access Review
BallisticNG is a perfect WipEout clone right down to the ship physics, allowing you to choose between old & new. There's brand new tracks, ships etc, and all this new content FEELS like WipEout, not a generic clone.

BallisticNG is a must-buy if you like fun & fast arcade racers. There's nothing like drifting around a corner with your airbrakes perfectly.

Very fun game that's a cross between class shooters like Team Fortress, with modern weaponry.

Haven't touched the game in two years until a couple of days ago, Splash Damage recently reclaimed the IP of Dirty Bomb from Nexon and they're removing all of the P2W stuff in the game this new year.

They're giving away a stupid amount of in-game items for free, so now is a great time to hop on.

  • Fun to play ALONE & WITH OTHERS

This game is truly something special. The climbing physics and mechanics keep you hooked playing alone, and promote exploration and ways for the player to figure out how to complete a puzzle faster. Playing online or with friends allows you to explore the puzzles in new and unique ways.

  • Both control schemes (KB+M & Controller) work well

Both control schemes make you FEEL like you're putting work into lifting/climbing stuff. It's an abstract kind of feel, but once you get used to it, it feels VERY rewarding.

  • Works on a wide variety of hardware and OSes

Compatible with Linux (SteamOS), Windows, and Mac. Rock solid 60FPS on both my gaming-oriented desktop, and my half-baked potato laptop. Runs at 144FPS solid at 1920x1080 settings maxed out on the desktop (i5-6600k + R9 290), Runs at 60FPS solid at 800x600 settings minimized on the laptop (i5-2550m + Intel HD 3000). The fact that I'm able to get 60FPS on a laptop without any dedicated graphics whatsoever is a true testament to how well optimized this game is for the lower end PC's too.
