the BEST most relaxing game that somehow makes me wanna do chores....
DEVS are amazing and 1.0 has amazing stability and performance.

you should really consider giving this game a try

Game runs well, but is CPU heavy.
the loading sucks ass, because there is always a chance you will be stuck in a infinite loading screen

im making a negative review because IMO the game feels too clunky in combat. it just feels off and not correct, it feels like the game is always working against you.
=this is from a player that has played; Chivalry 1 and 2, mordhau, vermintide, darktide and all the souls games with significant hours (4-5K Hours)

1. you aim downsight --> you cant parry or dodge
2. mid combat you are rolling or parrying way to much. sometimes the enemies attack so often im just stuck in a parry loop.
3. the roll catch is insane. i dodge an attack and i still get hit by something else.
4. the gunner enemies have too much HP.
5. ult activation doesn't work normal with assault class. sometimes it decides to just dash instat of fly
6. some attacks have indicators for parry or dodge, but a lot of other attacks dont have it. like come on ( either only have an indicator for unparryable attacks or all of them)
7. gun executions feel awful. because most of the time your armour you get back is instantly gone anyway because you can still get hit in the animation.
8. the space marines feel like wet nudles because you need to hit the common elites way too many times (guns and melee) this just makes you feel weak AF.
9. the space marines also just feel really really slow
10. the grind to the end game easily takes 30 hours per class. this would be fine with 3 or 4 classes, but there are 6 of them
11. the weapon upgrades are locked behind armoury upgrades that you can only get in the higher difficulties (not every player can be good enough for that, why is this a thing?)
12. enemies can stunlock you...... why is this a thing?
13. headshots feel like ass, moslty again because the enemies have wayyyy too much hp (it took 200+ bullets of my heavy gunner to kill a Zoanthrope) like thats half of the ammo you can carry

these are just the things i can think off, of the top of my head.
i know you are supposed to get hit in this game and recover your HP but a couple of wrong moves and i feel like you are heavily punished even on the lowest difficulty.

the only reason im still playing it is because i got the Ultra edtion.

just started playing the game.

runs like a dream at 80-100 fps with max settings on dlss Q at 1440p. i run a RTX 4070TI super with a R7 5800x3d.
seems like a very good port performance wise.

combat seems fun for now. i see some mixed views on the grinding, but ill see that when i get there

since the last couple of updates i've noticed some stuff i dont like at all and because of that i need to change my review.

the performance has seen a downwards slope since launch. (RTX 4070TI super and R7 5800x3D) the CPU seems to be hit way too hard and now this game somehow runs worse than 40K darktide. and that game runs like ass. i am forced to play at low to be happy to see 100 fps since its not really clear what hit the CPU so much. while my gpu is pretty much not used. iv'e even seen consistent dips into the 40-60 fps mid combat. i find this unacceptable.

the game is still plagued with crashes. hotfixes also breaks stuff again. lots of updates feel like they havent been playtested. armor still feels useless cause you get headshoted half the time anyway.

inconsistent difficulty. T7-9 sometimes feels like a cakewalk. other times you get completely overrun by out of control spawn rate of patrols. ive seen a higher patrol spawn rate at T5 than T9 and lost because of it. taking out nest or bunkers dont change anything in the map, like spawnrate. so its basically optional.

ow and did i talk about the performance with a $2K PC??? cause again i find this unacceptable


AND for the Love of god, Remove the Kernal anticheat. it doesnt do ♥♥♥♥. people already made working hacks. and its effecting the performance of the CPU side or maybe tell us why its still needed?



I love the game. great gameplay. great sounds, and amazing graphics.

the atmosphere is great in big intense battles and with a team its a lot of fun

my biggest peeve is that they nerf good weapons in a PVE game. where difficulty 7+ becomes running in circles until your strats a back online. i understand they want us to use different playstyles but armor of bugs is very hard to deal with when there are 8 chargers and 4 bile titans going after your team.
this along with what feels like the damage to enemies is really inconsistent kinda makes it irritating.

this stuff is fine if you run with a good team that works together, but guess what, that's not always an option in quick-play.

i understand the game is supposed to be hard. but you also need to make it feel good and rewarding so you keep your player-base happy.

i mostly play T5 or T6 now, so i can use other loadouts. as soon as there is no armor pearcing in your loadout, you cant kill anything imported and the gameplay feels like ♥♥♥♥.

Update, the devs since updated the game where dmg to chargers has been changed and makes T7 to T9 a lot of fun again. so props to them

Loved the game, its in a pretty good place with update 2.1. thou you do need some mods

imagine going on holiday after u release a major game and having promised a lot of features in the game that aren't completed yet.

Imagine making the cash shop 100% completed on release and having a timer on it so ur players feel pressure of missing out.

imagine having tasks or challenges for certain maps and making a map system that makes u wait until that map shows up.

Imagine making a game so CPU unstable that ur fps can drop from 100fps down to 30 or less on low settings on a R5600x and RTX 3060ti

Imagine making a shop on a timer. So you have to look every hour on all characters and a game that makes u load all over again after switching said characters.

Imagine letting TenCent have a majority stake of ur company

imagine being okey with a negative steam user rating with ur new game that could make or brake ur company and kill the good will of the consumers.

I could go on and on. But Fatshark shows that their management is top tier garbage.
I like the game, I want it to be good and succeed. But these guys just seem to ass around way too much.

the active players base is almost lower than vermintide 2. good god

This game needs to be delayed for a proper lauch

we've seen it in vermintide 2. stuff that should've been in the game took 1 to 4 years to be added. Fatshark is know for its slow updates and poor identification of what should be added/fixed

about darktide

+i see potential in the game. it has a strong basis for a great game.
+they nailed the atmosphere and the music. its perfect.
+great balance between combat and ranged.

- performance : the game seems to drag every CPU to its knees. CPU bottleneck means; poor render and frametimes = stutters all the time. (average fps 60-90 while the 99% procentile was around 40 fps)
-the UI needs to be better. group should be tab. be able to see real steam names etc.
-need to be able to skip intro's when you make a new person.
-fix straight up crashes and disconnects. vermintide has the same problems.
-launch should have a training groud to test out weapons.
-interesting skill: i personly think that the skills should do more. change the way you play. like vermintide. this makes for way more replayability.
-make a matchmaking version where you should have 4 different classes.


i understand this beta was made on an older version. maybe a lot has changed already. bit its still cause for concern. i want the game to do well and not die and dwindel to a 1k to 2k playerbase
