As someone who really was excited for this title before it came out and then played it for a while and forgot about it I was just generally disappointed at how slow and sluggish the game felt. I really gave it a solid chance and played it for as long as I could but I would really not recommend the actual game. The art is really fun and it is a pretty cute game, but the mini-games don't control particularly polished and a lot of the progress in the game is bogged down by extremely long sequences of nothing but walking based fetch quests. It just feels like the game has been padded for extra length with this and it just got too drawn out and I basically stopped playing and forgot about it until now when I am publishing this review. I hope the creator of this passion project goes on to do lots of other cool things, I just hope that they pay more respect to player's time. I enjoy a good slow paced game like the original Animal Crossing, or Point and Click adventures like the Humongous Entertainment games I played during my childhood, but I think if a game is gonna make you do something slow you should at least have something to show for it and not be sent on another walk across 10 screens at the very slowest walk cycle possible.

There is currently a bug with the timer. I passed my turn, the game wouldn't let me click on anything and I had no prompts and there was no way for me to do or click on anything and the game made me lose for time on a rank up. How does this happen? this is a joke. Also ban Maxx C.

I really liked the first game but the variable difficulty in the campaign and the HP mode it makes you play are really terrible, and since that's one of the few "new" pieces of content, that is mostly what I bought the new game for. The variable difficulty jumps the slider up from "the AI doesn't fight back" to you just getting hit by a 6 chain and tetris's constantly. It also doesn't scale with which of your 2 games you are weaker at. I am a much weaker tetris player than Puyo player, so it made any level where I had to do tetris impossible, so I had to turn that off and play on a set difficulty. It is just frustrating and feels like they didnt test the feature much because no matter how many times the AI beats you it wont get easier, but it will get harder every time you win. The HP based levels are really stupid because they just end for whoever gets a combo of any kind first and there is almost no strategy. You can get the AI to like single digit HP and then it will suddenly become god and do a double tetris on you, it just doesn't work very well and I don't see why they would mess with the formula this way. Considering the first game is cheaper, and nothing this version adds is very worth playing I don't see why they even made this game.

As an additional complaint, the control options in this version are somehow more limited than the first game was.

This game is a lot of fun honestly.

They have patched out the majority of the issues I had with the game.

This Game has serious problems with all the controllers i own. it doesnt detect any of them, not even my Hori Rap4 Kai.

I have tried using x360ce, and joy2key but for whatever reason the game thinks its funny to disable all of your inputs every few minutes if you use athird party program to make your controls working.

I have never had this level of difficulty getting a controller to work with any game before, and its frustrating, because the game is great from what little gameplay i have played, but when your movement and controls randomly freeze up in a boss fight it is really hard to continue to justify playing the game.

If issues with ym controllers were resolved, i would quickly reccommend this game to my friends, but with its current technical issues its hard for me to suggest this game to anyone.

So far I have tried to use:
iBuffalo USB Gamepad (SNES controller)
Mayflash Gamecube Adapter (4 port)
Hori Rap 4 Kai (in pc ps3 and ps4 mode)
PS3 Afterglow Pad
An older Black Logitech USB controller (digital shoulder buttons)

Putting this much work into just trying to play the game is ridiculous, and if the game would just let me use a joy2key/x360ce or just detect my controller properly I would have a good time.

Wow capcom you literally cant connect people online or give at least training room to test out the balance changes.
Good freaking work. This game has been an awful rollercoaster of you guys constantly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up time and time again.
I got in 2 matches before you all messed it up. You have literally 1 dedicated server for matchmaking and release a FREE ONLINE GAME. Good development skillz. Gives me zero confidence riding on the release of MVC:I.
