I'M ABOUT TO QUIT DOTA. I JUST CANT ENJOY PLAYING DOTA ANYMORE

Theres so little you can do in dota, like most of the reasons people quit. Jenkins video explain about Dota 2 is 40% free wins 40% free losses 20% where your play matters. For example you can get free wins when your enemy throwing/abandon and free losses the other way around. Not much you could really do about it. It doesnt make sense to lose your mmr because one of your teammate just decided to throw/abandon the game, he might get punished (low prio/ban) but what do you get? Nothing but the loss of your mmr. You tried your best not to abandon, to play good and not throwing or getting tilted, but when your teammate did that you dont get anything. I remembered back when Dota2 was in source1, mmr was worth 25 a game but when your teammate abandon you might only lose 10 mmr or so and the enemies still keep the 25. You were at least got some reward for behaving good, but now?

This game was a really good horror title which reminded me of Nightmare House 2, graphics are beautifully insane and the story line is really good and the DLC explains a lot of the mysteries from the main game, overall an amazing experience!

This game is free, you have nothing to lose. I'd say set your expectations accordingly. It may not be for everyone, but for what its worth it's well made.Use an hour of your life and play this. :))

I’ve committed thousands of hours to playing this game and achieved a pretty high rank. However, the more I play, the less enjoyable it becomes. At a certain point, losses feel more punishing than wins feel rewarding. It feels like we’re no longer playing for the love of the game but rather to boost our ego and chase that dopamine rush from winning. Once you invest so much time and energy into video games—which are essentially meant to be hobbies (unless you’re a pro)—you start justifying that time by climbing the ranks and convincing yourself it’s not just a waste of your life.

I don’t even know what I’m trying to say anymore. All I know is that it was a fun game at its core, and I’ll always respect the memories it gave me.

That said, maybe it’s time to let it go, step back, and remember what gaming is truly about: fun, connection, and creativity. The grind was an experience, but perhaps now it’s time to find a new adventure.
