This is the WORST EA game to have EVER been released. ABSOLUTE TRASH. Over 1.2k hours on every other EAFC / FIFA title and this one is the worst by FAR. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, GET IT AS A GIFT OR SOMETHING BUT DO NOT GIVE EA YOUR MONEY. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE PLAYER OR THE GAMEPLAY, THEY CARE ABOUT YOUR WALLET. If you own EAFC, uninstall it, youll thank me later. Dont buy EAFC26 too. ♥♥♥♥ EA. ♥♥♥♥ FIFA. ♥♥♥♥ Hypermotion. ♥♥♥♥ this company, i wish i could delete them from existence. Inbred monkeys on heroine could have made a better game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot devs.

This is my first review. I think It's necessary this time.

Before I start, I think its important I list a few things out. During this first portion, there wont be any spoilers. I will also be talking about some obvious issues with the game itself and not the story.

To clear the air, I'm running the game on a GTX 1660 with a i7-9700K. I didnt play with any of the new cool features like ray tracing. As a matter of fact, I played the entire story line with an average of 50FPS on Low-Med setting. Obviously, there's bugs, quite a lot of them. They range from all aspects. Bodies glitching through the floor, clothes not showing up, mystical flying when you interact with certain walls and barriers that launch you into the sky, gun models not showing up, cars being flung across your screen, dying with full hp, no-clipping through the driver seat of the car you're in, model physics being completely shoddy, weird voids of darkness when rendering, and i can keep on going, but that's not the point. We all understand that this game is one of the largest there is on the market and there's a lot to cram in, as well as being a day 1 purchaser, I was expecting a lot of bugs. I do believe in time that these would be fixed, but the question stands, how long would it take? It's not easy to transition to a 50 fps game when almost everything else I play runs at a solid 120-150. Fiddle with your system, optimize your game as best as possible, and give it a go.

Lets quickly run over mechanics in the game. Like I said, no spoilers, I will clearly state any upcoming spoilers. Gun play is fun, its engaging and really makes you feel like you pack a punch. After completing the game in Very Hard, I can clearly agree that in fact Very Hard is Very Hard. Head shots are rewarding, health bard above enemies are a nice touch, as well as damage taken indicators. On the other hand, melee combat feels lack luster. Dodging, by double tapping a directional key (W,A,S,D), doesn't work. It will randomly misdirect you when trying to stealth, and seems ineffective when used in actual combat. Punching someone into a pulp will always feel great in any game, but CyberPunk really makes away the full impact of bear knuckle combat. Even using items such as a Katana or Hammer doesn't feel extremely rewarding. A head will roll with a katana, but that's after 6 attempts and taking far too much damage from 3-4 punches. So to sum it up, Guns are fun, don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

As stated before, the game is extremely buggy, but that was overshadowed by the plot of the story. Engaging, interesting, funny, sad, I really felt so many emotions playing this game. There were moments of joy that I felt. I felt like a child with ice cream. On the other hand, I too felt moments of sadness, like a mother losing her child. Even though my computer was struggling, it didn't matter. I was happy with the game itself.

SPOILERS:

Ok. Look. I liked the 99% of the game. I didn't like the 1%.

Yes, Jackie is an amazing character. I love Jackie. You love Jackie. Simple, best character. His death was heart wrenching, but it really set the mood for the game.

Eve, Judy and Dex. Interesting characters, Eve was a mystery, hard to come by. Judy knew what she was doing behind the screen, it really sets up the plot for the entire game. Dex really made me think, the decisions regarding the chip were tense and made me feel as if it ultimately was a life or death answer.

Johnny... what a self-centered f**k. I loved it. From being a national terrorist to being engraved into the mind of a wanna be merc. He really want to take over, he wants to be himself. From hating big corporations to fondling women at a club, Johnny was the ultimate anti-capitalist. His story is interesting, but somewhat boring. I'm not sure if it's the ending I got, but I was extremely disappointed. From wanting to kill me, to saving my life multiple times, to sacrificing himself for my well being. I don't know.. I wanted more. I want Johnny and V to live in the same world together. I don't know how but it would have made me so extremely happy. I believe that I got a bad ending.

Panam. Man shes tough. She's a great character to stick with V. Both with somewhat similar aspirations and crew. I don't have much to say, other than she saved V's ass when he needed it most. As well as being V's "partner", they're a great partnership.

It's 7:04AM and I haven't slept well since I started playing CyberPunk, because I've been playing CyberPunk. So I'm gonna cut it short. The game is amazing. I loved it, and when I mean really loved it, I mean it. It's a piece of art but, it's art that's not finished. It's like saying that Leonardo da Vinci only finished painting 80% of the Mona Lisa. It has those moments that are almost unforgettable. Those moments that really live up to the hype. Those moments that make you comeback and REPLAY ALL of the story line. It's fun. It's broken. It's worth every penny. I really was speechless when I finished, I want more. I feel unsatisfied. I need to see what else happens with V and Johnny. I want to see all the perks in action. Try a stealth only play through or a run & gun play through. There's more than just one CyberPunk, and I'm off to go explore them. Overall, the hype behind CyberPunk really lived up to its name. Go out there and get them, Samurai.

9/10.
