This game is great and it still holds up to valve standards, but making it F2P isn't right.

As stated by other people too, cheaters have no consequences now, and are able to alt as many times as they please, thereby abusing the F2P update.

I believe that rather than making it free, you should lower the price significantly, therefore deterring most from ruining the fun for innocent players, while also have a great increase of new players.
But otherwise, I feel a new wave of players would be great for the CS community, and would still recommend this game.

The game is going to try to match you with other people who are new. I would suggest either finding a friend who plays, or finding a community of people who you can just fire questions at while you learn. Maybe there’s a polygon discord, or something, I dunno. Someone you can talk to while you learn.

Learning on your own is going to be hard, I think (I learned how to play over a decade ago and at this point, I don’t even remember how I learned…), but if you have people you can talk to about it, it helps you pick it up quicker, from what I’ve seen.
