I think perhaps quite a few people are used to farming the big pidgeons and afking invaders to outlevel their problems.
Scadutree fragments - they're important.
Remember how many people complained about Margit being too difficult? It's the same thing over again.
A key part of the souls games is exploring areas, figuring out where you can manage, and exploring new options in terms of gear as well. If a place is too hard, go somewhere else, gather upgrades, come back later.
Or you know, wait for vaatividya or fextralife to tell you what to do in a day or two, cause that's so fun and rewarding.
You always see people dying to the same boss, in the same gear, using the same strategy, over and over again.
In short - your build sucks and/or skill issue.
This dlc is 10/10.

It might be the best RPG ever made.
The visuals are amazing. The combination of ray-tracing and HDR is especially potent, if you have the hardware for it.

The gameplay is great but, it's important that you go into it with the knowledge that nothing scales to your level. If you find a certain area or boss too hard, go somewhere else. Most people will go directly for Margit and fight him for hours before ragequitting. You'll find that this feeling of getting stuck on a certain part is common in the souls games. It promotes exploration of the world, and Elden Ring does it to an even greater extend.

The lore is fantastic, but it is told in a very subtile way, but that is very much by design. It makes exploring the world more interesting, because you discover the lore for yourself, but you'll have to look for it.
For example, in Skyrim when you kill your first dragon, you're with a group of guards. One of them who just so happens to be an expert on ancient history, will run up to you and deliver a load of exposition right in your face, explain that you're dragonborn and everything about your power. You'll always be told where to go, what to do and everything going on.

There's none of that in Elden Ring. You will constantly sumble across things that are unexplained and alien to you, and you'll more than likely find that you have no idea what to do next. It can be frustrating to some people, because they feel they have to look up everything.

All I can say is, explore!
There's so much to discover. The world is rich with environmental storytelling, and the game rewards you for wandering around. You'll often find some tiny thing that changes your playstyle completely. There's an insane amount of weapons and spells, and all of them have some unique aspect, that make them useful for a specific build. You'll almost never find two people with the gear or strategy, but often others will be using something you thought was useless in an effective way.
