Good game

Ignore my achievements, I had everything unlocked because of a corrupted save file, I didn't want to grind most of the characters again

GTFO but possible good. I'm kidding of course, but you can actually finish these freaking levels if you're careful and synchronized enough on Moderate, at least

EDIT: I wanna play this more but the gang just doesn't come together

Yeah some of the dialogue and voice acting is awkward but it doesn't get in the way of the fun, it ticks my heisting fantasy pretty well; I could do without the robots in the multiplayer though, they are harder than other units that still show up on the lowest difficulty, and do kinda kill the (Until the latest DLC) grounded 90's aesthetic pretty early.

I heard complaints about the original soundtrack but I really quite like it, there was a mission in the campaign where I had to rescue a member of another gang and the song that played really helped the tension, since there is Permadeath going on. I assume the song that played was randomly selected, but still.

Thanks for carrying over both Playtest(s) progress to the full game, too!

More content and ambition than Payday 3, that's for sure, and at a cheaper price!

EDIT: A little tip for you, there are WAY too many Turf War Attack and Defense missions that you'll have to do in the Campaign, but you can skip a few if you do missions that affect Turf that say: "Effect: Neutralizes Turf" or and then taking it with 10 Soldiers OR "Conquer Turf". Another tip is to isolate a territory from the rest and that will also Conquer it.

The bots are way more helpful in stealth than in loud, i've had a few times where they stay still next to a grenade, or they won't stay when I tell them to; the roguelite campaign needs coop, especially on higher difficulties. At least two players, please.

EDIT: 15/08/24 I'm saying this without trolling, it's better than PAYDAY 3, and I am aware of the year and a half it has over PD3

If you can't join a friend, try syncing your graphics settings

I'm gonna be crucified but I like this more than Dead Rising 2, gameplay wise, I played Off The Record a few months prior and yeah, this one is so much more buttery smooth; wish they didn't recycle half the weapon and item models from DR2 though, for a title that is a generation ahead of DR2 and 1.

03/05/24: Why will I have to use a PlayStation account to play this soon?
Before anyone asks I had this as negative before today's situation

06/05/24 Good! Can't wait until they try a sneakier approach! My review's staying negative for the other issues though, as it already was

16/05/24 So when is it getting unlocked for the other countries?

I really like this game but I have pet peeves that are mounting up, making higher difficulties unfun, especially because Reinforcements are limited in this one compared to the previous game.

Seriously why don't we have loadouts? What the hell? The first game had them years down the line, but still.

Related, the more Stratagems you obtain, the more bloated that menu is, i'd really appreciate a Blacklist or Favorites feature, even more since half these things are unbalanced.

I really wanna love the Spear (Think the Javelin from Modern Warfare) but the lock-on is too inconsistent for me to bring it along.
EDIT: I think having distance and height from the enemy (The Spear is restricted to stuff as big as Chargers, Bile Titans, Automaton Factories and similar size for Automatons) helps, and you can at least hold the button for as soon as the lock-on is ready so it doesn't get to disengage.
EDIT 2: Fixed

I really wanna love the Spear Jump-Pack (Which lets you climb whatever you touch!) but shooting while using it is clearly bugged or V E R Y inaccurate, I feel like I could have a lot of fun with it if it was changed.
EDIT: Found out that with the Jump-Pack you can at least:

• Reload
• Use the Stratagem Menu
• Board a Walker mid jump
• Throw Grenades (Can't aim them unless you hold aim and shoot at the same time, that might be patched out)
• Reload heavy weapons (It's just the stationary reload animation so this has to be a glitch or a placeholder)
• Use it just before grabbing a SEAF Artillery Shell (No way this isn't getting patched)

Sliding is a very wasted mechanic, you can shoot while doing so but you slide for like one or two meters, and I don't think you can slide down slopes.

I understand the syringes give a bit of invulnerability so you gotta balance them, but the jab is cancelled whenever I get damaged, I spam when under stress and still don't get to do it sometimes; can you make it so I can just hold the button so i'm sure the Helldiver will do it as soon as possible? I KNOW the Spear can shoot as soon as the lock-on is complete if you hold the button, so why not this?
Syringes also restore your stamina, so it's dumb that you can't use them when you're at 100% health.
EDIT 13/08/24: I'll consider the "jab is cancelled whenever I get damaged thing" fixed since I can just pre-stim when I think i'll be in danger.

Speaking of this, teammates can heal you with one only IF you're at 50% health or less; a friend of mine who loves playing Medic can't live out that little fantasy if i'm at 51% or more :l
EDIT 16/10/24: Kinda fixed with the Stim Pistol

Hellbombs sometimes just don't have an effect, like Rogue Stations or Gunship Factories, when I put the Hellbomb in the middle of the factory or the middle of the Rogue area.
EDIT: Hellbombs work on Rogue stations, they have to be next to the antenna building, Eagle Airstrikes don't, feels to me like Rogue Stations are durable as hell for no reason.
I've seen a x100 killstreak with a Hellbomb on Youtube so alright, good for enemies

Speaking of no effect, the biggest Eagle ordnance, the 500kg Bomb, looks amazing but doesn't do much sometimes, today I launched one with a Charger in ground zero but it left him in the bleedout state.

When Reinforcing, about 80% of the time you don't kill whatever enemy you land on, except Automaton Factories, I can reliably break those, I imagined that was the main advantage of the "Improve Hellpod steering" upgrade. Could it be because my Draw Distance settings are at minimum? I'm running a modified .cfg file for performance's sake

The last Erradicate mission (Difficulty 6) I did just cheesed on top of a stone pillar, even with this we were down to zero Reinforcements when the extraction arrived. I don't think the game is balanced for the amount of players in the mission

Heavy armor sucks, I struggle to catch up to my team for no difference in survivability, even with the Explosive Damage resistance. I've been running Light Armor for a couple of missions now against Terminids and yeah, I don't want to go back, though I do miss my Engineering Kit's 30% recoil reduction
31/07/24: A friend of mine just died to a rocket at full health with a Heavy Armor that reduces Explosive damage by 50%. They suck.

Both Guard Dogs shouldn't do friendly fire, especially to yourself, it's the drone's problem if it can't stay 3 meters away from you at all times

Compared to the first game, the soundtrack is kinda lacking in variety, not that the existing music isn't great. I wish you could port the first game's music over, or re-record it and bring it to the game.

Please let us mix and match our armor and armor effects, or at least paint them; I like my Medium Engineering Kit armor but as far as i'm aware it's the only one in the entire game and i'm stuck with orange. I looked it up and all three Medium ones that fit the description are in the Superstore or are in a premium battlepass
EDIT 13/08/24: Let us paint our armor and weapons with the Hellpod/Pelican/Exosuit colors! You have the system RIGHT THERE.

REAL MINOR THING but Civilians Killed by a Fire Tornado deduct your Requisition Slip (Yellow credits) amount when it should only be due to friendly fire

If it's like the first one, it deserves this Positive Review without me playing it (Which I will soon!)

As good as the first one, really! With a bit of added gameplay; know that if you get this it will probably never get a sequel, though you will be helping its chances
