Overall, a great strategic card game, similar to Hearthstone. I've spent a lot of my time playing this game, so I have a lot to speak about this.

I deeply enjoy the amount of dedication the developers place into the game. Admittedly, some cards are unbalanced and some decks are simply overpowered, but the "meta" always changes in reaction to every expansion so you're never playing the same old repetitive decks (unless you play competitively). Also, the developers are quick to edit and limit any overpowered cards (looking at you Alice and neutral decks) through nerfs and so forth. Plus, the game is much more skill reliant and less reliant on RNG, making outplays truly satisfying and not just you praying for a good outcome. No single class is also the outright best, which is also the developers' goals too (they look at deck winrates and adjust specific cards in decks too). The game treats new players very nicely with free packs however.

F2P is much better than other card games, like Hearthstone. Shadowverse grants more cards per pack, and the developers are much more leniant in giving free card packs away. I haven't spent a single penny on this game and I'm still able to be semi-competitive with the cards I hold (just don't play ranked too often).

Artwork is very appealing too.

There are some downsides. Gold is the currency of this game and can be used to purchase packs, and sometimes I feel getting gold through daily quests is similar to grinding repetitively. Every new expansion adds more cards into the game, thereby increasing the need to gain even more gold to get more packs, to acquire newer cards. It's like a game of catchup, where you're trying to get as many released cards as possible before they add new cards into the game, repeating the cycle for every expansion. Also, the main RNG frustration I have is when I'm trying to draw legendaries from packs, which they hold a 1.5% chance of being drawn. Some decks require a specific legendary, and when you don't have the luck to draw it nor the vials to craft it, you may be left with a second-hand deck.

Also, Shadowverse is currently bundled with Redshell. You can create your opinion about this.

Overall, I had a great experience playing this game and I would highly recommend it over its Hearthstone counterpart. I've spent way too many hours attempting to outwit my opponents and constantly hone my deck.
