To basically summarize this game it feels like Halo+Half Life+Stalker and with that you get ADACA.

Now there are two modes in this games Campaing which is Single Player and then Zone Patrol which is more like a somewhat of a Free Roam mode but it feels kind of like Stalker with Objectives and such.

Graphics is going for this Low Poly style which makes it quite a lot to make it stand out.

Combat feels great, combined with your prostetic arm that functions like a Gravity Gun from HL2 and great Physics you can literally catch a Grenade with it and Toss it back. Or just grab a random object and use that as a weapon too.

Speaking of Weapons there are plenty of them. Shotguns, Pistols, Rilfe and even some exotic ones. Like a Sniper Rifle that infinetly shoots through Walls and its scope has Heat Vision. Its awesome.

I will keep the story Vague since its quite engaging. In the Campaing you play as a Conscript that was left in Cry Sleep and you wake up several Years later with the help of the Doc you are gonna uncover the secrets of the Zone.

In the Zone Patrol you plays as a Conscript of a PMC Company on a mission to Uncover More secrets of the Zone. You will discover a lot of stuff so get going.

So yeah I reccomend this game. If you like the games like Stalker with all the secrets with the Zone around Chernobyl you are gonna love this doubly so.

I usually dont write reviews but here we go.

This mod has been in development for 4 years and that says a lot.
I guess we should start with the Presentation, Story and Gameplay in that order.

Presentation wise this game seems to push the limits of the Source Engine for it makes some gorgeos sights and some great graphical qualities, when it comes to sound it servisable, the sound effects are pretty much your stock Source Engine game sounds but they managed to mix some from other games like L4D2 for example.
As for voice acting its servisable its not gonna win any awards but its good enough to carry the game. And the OST my god its good you get pretty good ambience tracks and some great combat track, plus its free so go get it. Its that good.

Now we move on to the Gameplay part at this is the part when things seem to get messy but somehow it works. Like Armour for example is restored by getting a new Vest instead of getting Batteries or Recharge stations. Plus theres a weapon limits system up to four weapons which is handled pretty well. You get a slot for your Sidearms, Primary and Secondary. Plus you get a shooting range to test out the new guns. They also balanced guns well so you are not not gonna feel weak.
Now unto the Puzzles they are okay. I was stuck at one and I had to use the walkthrough but for the majority if you connect the dots you will not struggle. You get your match-em-up puzzles and bring-this-thing-here-to-get-here puzzles and so yeah you wont be starved for varierity.

Now onto the story. Dont worry there will be no story. You are a special agent/mercenry sent on a mission to some lab where you have to secure it, on your way you will make your journey through different industrial and residental complexes and there are several twists and turns you gonna get.

As for the complaints there are only few, like the game drags on for a while and thats pretty much all.

So yeah I would definetly reccomend this game for some HL fans if they want to scrathc that itch and also experience something different.

Okay where to start.
Little disclamer I never finished the game and dont plan to. Unless devs are gonna tweak the game for the better and not for the worse.

While the game has an exellent presentation it might be the only good thing about this game. However that depends on person to person. The story is well not that important. If you are gonna pay attention to the story you might wanna turn your exitment down a whole lot.

As for the gameplay its slow very slow. The combat bogles to constant similiar things through the playthrough. Like misses and rare hits and even crits althrough that might be not entirely true. It all depends on RNG (Random Numbers Generator). Which is pretty bad. Its feel like everything is based on this flawed mechanic. The stress, the hunger even damage. This is one of the weirdest games which has some unique mechanics but executes them poorly. Overall gameplay is alright for couple of hours but the alrightinest just dissapears after a while.

So as the gameplay the progression is slow as well. Grind grind and grind. And the RNG can hinder it even more. From heroes going missing to straight up deaths because enemies decided to make out of your level 4 Vestal a punchingbag.

Another issue this game has is lack of healers. While some of the characters in this game have healing abilities most of them come to either self-heal or target heal which isnt that very effective.
Game needs more healer based classes. And it doesnt help that one of them is DLC exlusive.
Vestal seems to be the only effective one. Same cannot be said for a Cultist.

Overall if you wanna play this game dont expect anything enjoyable out of it besides the artsyle. I have seen the game since kickstarter and seen its rise and its obsidian hard fall. Play on your own merit.

I would recommend other games instead. Fan of atmosphere? Metro games. Fan of turn based? Try Pillars of Eternity or Divinity 2. Fan of grim dark stuff? Try some Warhammer games or Grim Dawn. Its your choice.

Overall I dont recommend. They are more better games than this.
If you wanna play this game play it with mods (or dont) that make it more enjoyable. Theres plenty to choose from.

I played this game for 5 hours that the only how long i was gonna give it before i gave up.
I have to give a game credit for the casual side of the game.

The rest not so much. These are six resons why:

1. The comunitty:
Comunitty is toxic as Dr. Thrax´s base if you dont get the refrence then let me give an example. I played a normal game of demolition. I went into a clutch i was on the other side of the map when i killed the last one of two terrorists and then the vote for kicking me started and quess what i got kicked and the terrorist won. Great.

2. Hit detection
Pretty much it goes like this: You hit the enemy in the head your game client registers it but not the server and so far no fixes for this. Valve please fix this. Dont belive me?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw307rFpQ8s

3. Recoil
In this game recoil is like riding on a bull which got super powers. It goes like this you tap the mouse button and you are fine, hold it and you are going haywire.

4. Weapons
No improvment what so ever you better of using AWP, AK-47,M4A1 and P250 or P2000 pistol.
Other weapons are just crap.
Examples: UMP-45: Still bad and too expensive
PP-Bizon: Bad and innacurate
Glock: Burst fire is ♥♥♥♥. 1.6 did it better
Mac-10: Still bad
And so much more.

5.Music and sound effects
Theme song is way too loud i had to turn it off when i first launched the game.
The gun sound effects in this game are boring and lame. In Source and 1.6 the sound were primitive sure but none of the stood out as in Global Offensive

6. Crates, Keys and Skins
Really Valve again? You didnt made me buy them in Tf2 what makes you think i will buy them in here and not to mention it a russin rullet with five bullets in the chamber its guranteed that you get shot instead of getting out alive. Pathetic.


In the conclusion I would pick Source or 1.6 over this overated russian roulette-fest.

There are much better games for in game content that you already paid for.
Tf2 is not one of them.
You have to pay for key in order to get your content.
Most weapons takes a lot of material to craft.
Updates have dropped in quantity and guality.
The comunitty dropped from friendly to hateable.
And now a days its about being the coolest looking guy on the server instead of playing the game.
Not to mention the updates that attepted to ´´balance´´ the game which made game more unbalanced then it is.
Then they are trying to add ´´competitive´´ but its already too late.
I reccomend Pirates,Viking and Knights II instead trust me.
