I highly recommend everyone gives VR a try at least once or twice if they can spare the time.

All of my expectations were blown right out of the water when I first tried it out and I can say I'm in it for the long run at this point. The best way that I can describe what the difference between typical flatscreen experiences and VR experiences is that in flatscreen, you're just an observer of each scenario, character and action, where-as in VR you're an inhabitant. Your brain processes everything as if you're actually there and the immersion is unmatched.

While there are a lot of positives, there are also some negatives that I think the industry as a whole needs to address before people really jump into VR gaming as their primary content consumption medium:
- Motion (Locomotion and Motion Sickness)
- Ease-of-Access (Price, HMD Size and Controller Usability)
and a few more that I can't think of at the moment.
