Early Access Review
Ark SA has some performance issues, the game looks better, and feels so much less clunky that Ark SE, the hit registration seems to have been completely overhauled, dinosaur AI seems to have been improved, a lot of misc QoL improvements, the game itself is fine, the only thing holding it back are performance issues. I have a amd ryzen 5 5600x and a 3080. i can run the game smoothly on a mix of medium high and epic settings with dlss set to performance. a lot of people are mad they can't run the game on 4k ultra with 240 fps, some people rightfully so are mad they can't run Ark SA on older hardware. I'm just enjoying how good the game looks on mostly medium settings. eventually the performance issues will be fixed Ark SE had the same sort of rocky launch.

this dlc is horribly done, i knew it was going to be bad but this is even worse than the 31% positive prepared me for, don't get me wrong i love elite but the way this dlc was implemented and the lack of optimization, there is no way this is actually a full release. it has infinite possibility but frontier released what is essentially a beta marketing it as a full release. my day is ruined but perhaps in the future things may not be the same. best chance is to wait

its just a chill game its not something that would absorb your life or something actually difficult the main points of the game are collecting all the achievements and the other main point is to have fun playing mini games

although before i start this is not my true playtime. on another platform i have more than 500 hours

the game may take some players time to get used to and make no mistake it isn't child play but its an amazing game which spans an entire galaxy. you can land on any planet with an atmosphere and drive around collecting resources. hunt ships with bounties on them or gain a bounty on your ship by pirating humble miners even become a miner. exploring is also an option so are alien hunts though the difficulty is pretty high its not something impossible to get over, thats what training missions are for. players can actually influence the galaxy too.

there are many community events many of which determine things like faction expansion or alien technology adaptation ect for scifi nerds this game is a must have. its also a great choice for people competent enough to read the controls and maybe even read a guide or two.
