I had this realization when I was playing Assassins Creed Valhalla. In one of the first scenes you’re rowing down a river in a rowboat and I had just been dumped so I was thinking ab relationships. I realized that love back then must’ve been so real. I couldn’t even comprehend it. If you had problems you had to sit down and talk there was no texting your friend or calling up someone that like half the state away. If something happened you couldn’t just run from it. Love must have been so genuine for so many reasons. I’m grateful to be born in an era where I don’t have to fear the winter and cold nights or hunt or plant for my food. But I wish I could have a love as real and genuine as the ones back then.
