A classic dark fantasy RPG which not only defined a genre but created a subgenre in addition. Dark Souls is an amazing, difficult, and immersive dark fantasy game taking inspiration from such iconic sources as the manga Berserk and the Zelda series. Despite a few somewhat outdated boss battles, the game is an engaging adventure from start to end. One of my favorite games not only for itself but for the visible and unspoken legacy it has left in the spheres of videogames and beyond. Cannot recommend it enough.
