To those having issue with the music stuttering / graphics being slow... I literally had to refer to a random post on the forums from 2016 from someone that was literally running a hacked version of the game in order to find a fix...

This fix works for the official version of the game thankfully. All you need to do is download and install OpenAL (oalinst.exe) Was a bit alarming to see it literally just say "install complete" almost immediately after agreeing... But hey, the results speak for themselves.

Yo Nippon Ichi... Mind fixing this little stutter problem? You literally just have to include that file... I'm sure its not that difficult.

I played older similar projects based on astonia, like Thule, so I knew how to play... Doesn't excuse lazy programming.
Play for a bit and you will see that Quests really do work... Some of them. They utilized flags/variables to advance things, yet couldn't bother getting the starting quests work like "Find my husband Reiner" or "Rescue Randa". Yes, I chose to forgo a reward to rescue the prisoner... That means I expect to rescue Randa... Opening the cage does nothing, and she just repeats the "please help me" crap... They couldn't be bothered to add a finishing flag to one of the first questlines... Literally using the key on the gate should have triggered a finished flag, you didn't even have to make it that good...Just a quick little "Oh thanks, I'm free, quest done, move along." would have been nice, and really not that hard to add... bare minimum here.

Thats all I need to know this isn't going to be anything like Thule... No offense but seriously... Too lazy to finish the noob quests (which would take less than 5 minutes to code the bare minimum of a generic ending dialogue) is extremely off putting and instantly tells me all I need to know about the rest of the game. I.. Dude seriously? Idk how you can just leave stuff like that in, especially when its one of the first encounters a new player will get into... Nope, my minds blank. I can't even come up with... I... This gets an F.
That's right, i'm grading you. Automatic F for failing to fix the simplest of bugs that the player will experience in the first 30 minutes of gameplay. A simple flag/variable that you should have learned how to use properly in the first few weeks of class. F.

This is not a good substitute for waiting for New World.
This is a frustration machine, designed to piss you off more than League Of legends.

Old founder from when it was an alpha who has come back and forth to check it out over the years. Sorry but its just not a good game. Its a PvE, PvP full loot mmorpg... But its not as great as that sounds. You are what you wear... Sure... But if your not following a meta build, your not wearing anything for long. Add in the taxes on every single thing you do, and you will find that this game, and Entropia, have a little bit in common.

The game has one real winner: The House. Sure you could PvE, raise some really good silver and buy premium... That is if you have anything left over from getting killed and looted, even the Corrupted Dungeons, content built as a safe haven from PvE players to farm without getting team ganked... Still suffer, because the PvP players invade there as well, and a PvE build... just can't win against a dedicated 1v1 PvP build... And if you build for that, you don't have the speed clear you need to make the dungeons profitable anymore... "But those pvpers are making good money!" No... There not. They lose their gear even more frequently than we do to other pvpers... Its an endless cycle of kill, gain, die, lose.... Only its more akin to a slot machine than poker... Because for PvE your at the whims of the RNG system... A rare or legendary chest could be absolutely worthless... Seriously, I've gotten plenty of rare chests that had 0 silver value, being filled with crappy untradable fame books. "but thats worth experience!" ... Yea, like 5 mins worth. The lowest tier mobs in that dungeon give me 5 books worth of fame, and take 10 seconds to kill 3 of them at once... That rare chest of crap fame books is literally worth 20 seconds of my grind on fodder.

Oh and the pvpers? I have serveral ppl in my guild going from a couple million silver...to completely broke daily, just because of the constant need to regear... This game is even more frustrating than a losing streak in league of legends, and worse, it takes hours of grind just to MAYBE reach a point where you can have a little fun, and because they whined over and over about not being able to kill PvE players in a dungeon DESIGNED FOR PVE PLAYERS, they made it just hard enough to escape that any pvp build with some mobility can catch and destroy you... The only safeish grind in the game that was worth a damn, once again, pointless.

So why don't I just PvP only then you ask? Because I don't want to spend multiple hours a day, every day, for weeks/months to become viable... Many of the pvp builds, require high level skills to pull off... That would take ALOT of grind to reach... Which means not only are u not making good grind on npcs...u also cant kill anyone but the newest of noobs who aren't worth a damn in silver or fame. It also means even in corrupted, with the amount of time it takes to clear... You will 100% be dived by an invader, and end up dying to an already established meta pvp build, and quite frankly, i don't feel like buying gold and spending it on fame tomes just to be able to follow a meta that, even then, can be outplayed by other metas... (which btw, would cost you hundreds of dollars in cash to afford.)

Thats right, you don't even get to play rock, paper, scissors in this game until you have grinded out for weeks/months...and when I say weeks, I mean weeks of day labor hours...i'm talking 8+ hours A DAY grinding, if u dont have that kinda time or mentality to be abused for 8 hours a day... Its going to take you considerably longer.

And you know what I figured out? The only reason I tried my hardest to find a viable way to play this game without pvping... Is because I want to play new world that badly. That I would play ANYTHING even remotely similar for just a taste of new world... But its not worth it, these damn things will never be new world..and quite frankly, this game is going to die again once new world is open... Because you can easily get more fun out of that game than albion online...

So unless your a pvp god old vet player with 100 spec in everything... Stay clear from Albion Online...This is not a good game. It is not new player friendly... Hell its not even Vet friendly. Its just a slot machine... And majority of you... Will just be going broke hoping for 10 seconds of fun and fortune.

Don't bother. Game has absolutely no matchmaking whatsoever. Tired of getting destroyed by crazy ass long time players who are seriously out of my league when I should be getting paired with ppl who, like me, don't know what the hell we are doing.

They patched the login server during testing, that was for 100? 1000? players....The patch works for that amount of players. We are currently 5x larger than atlas at launch. The login server has been obliterated with 25k players all trying to login at once. The game is crazy cheap for how fun it is, I am of the lucky few that has been playing nonstop while the servers were up. There is literally nothing else wrong with the game other than the login servers are broken and the 30+ devs who can fix it...are working on it, and have been nonstop. Just wait... Just play something else for now, and once its fixed, they will announce it. Stop fixating on the game until you actually can get in because otherwise your just gonna mope like a 5 year old who can't get his way. There is LITERALLY nothing else they can do right now...they are LITERALLY doing EVERYTHING they can during a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quarantine. Just wait.... Calm down and play something else for now. Grab mordhau, play a lute, kill some dudes, take this time to review videos about the game so you have a game plan for when you can get in. PRACTICE your fighting skills in games like chiv or for honor...because the combat is similar.... Directional blocking and directional attacks, counters, chambering, ect...Its all in this game. So practice now.

game is incredible toxic. People teamkilling, calling each other racial slurs, and reporting people? Your harassed constantly on discord for even mentioning or asking. Their discord community is nothing but trolls and racists, and sexists who even claimed "if they add women, they should add a r*** feature too. So I can r*** women." Multiple ppl were saying things like this. The mods and the devs do NOTHING to stop it. They don't enforce anything. DO NOT play this game.

!!!! DO NOT BUY !!!! GAME IS DEAD. That is, if your new, this game is not for you. There is virtually no matchmaking at all. You will wait 10-20 minutes for a match only to be RAILED by jerkoffs driving on the walls and then doing acrobats through the air like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ missile aimed at your goal.. So many stupid beginner guides "don't worry about that, even after 500 hours I have barely begun to learn how to do aerial...." BULL@$#%. Your telling me you went 1-9 every game for 500 hours and found that crap fun? IF this stupid ass game would actually pair me up with other noobs it would be, but almost every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game theres 1 person soaring through the air and hogging the ball the entire time ruining it for literally every other person. How bout a noob server? A noob playlist that only noobs can use? anything to make this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game worth the money i spent. I wish I could slap the devs in the face for this atrocity. I've never been so mad at a game, DARK SOULS PVP IS MORE FORGIVING!

game had great premise before it was forced out of early access and abandoned. Boycott all freejam games, they think they can leave this and work solely on other things/robocraft? Screw robocraft. BOYCOTT!

Atleast epic announced paragon closing so they could focus on a game that was worth more money... You abandon card life by forcing it out of early access suddenly, turning water into blocks, and going silent. Screw you Freejam, I hope all your games fail.
