Conan Exiles Contains alot of Conan The Barbarian stuff.... Just because its not from Howard doesn't make it bad. Sorry hardcore fanboys, but you will have to live with me having a big yamatai castle in your face. Which sounds rude I know... But honestly, getting mad because "HOWARD DIDN'T DO IT!" .... Who cares? Its still Conan The Barbarian. You can't just close your eyes and plug your ears and go "Its not canon the original author didn't do it." Well? Kill off your character, cause howard definitely didn't make your character. Its not canon.

Edit: Dec 12/17/2020 update: I came back to see even less players than before.. The solution to the resources became simple...but painful.. There are now custom worlds players pay for, they choose what resources, etc... And there are also sandbox worlds now.. I played a game with these abilities..it was on my ipad years ago, called deepworld. I don't need to make the same mistake twice.. I bought my worlds back then, what happened next? Got bored, quick, and that game actually had more ppl playing it than this does. Sadly, this is the hallmark a dying game. "You want resources, we want cash, lets make an arrangement." further making an empty universe feel even more empty, spreading people further out into their own little clicks... We already have that, its called minecraft, which has way more mods and fun things in it... Don't go making an "open world online" type minecraft, and then sell people private servers when you fail to produce results to bring back players, at this point you would do more justice by releasing this game as singleplayer with p2p connectivity... Atleast then when you shut down, your few fans will still be able to play with their friends.

And truth be told, this saddens me. It looks amazing, but was executed...rather poorly. By all rights this should have blown up..If ppl had one massive open world minecraft, it would always be full... So why? Why does this feel like spore all over again? Like it should be a best selling novel, but instead it feels more like an incomplete childrens book. It feels like its trying to cater to both adults and children, goes to the extreme of both sides of simplicity and complexity, and then jams them together with elmers glue like a 2 year old mashing a cube against a triangle hole "why no fit!??" Worse of all, it makes the same damn mistake like all the others: It focuses almost entirely on ascetics, on "the build". How many damn games do we have now thats barebones in all of its content simply for the sake of "legos online go brrrr" its clearly the most important aspect of the game... Instead of the adventuring, fighting, rpg, etc, everything is designed solely to feed the "stack blocks huehuehue" machine. Like could you imagine if farmville made a massive open world survival with fighting, and crafting, and resource management... But at the end of the day everything is about sending you back to your farm and your friends farm to water and plant crops? Like imagine defeating a boss, and it drops an item that sends an email to your friend offering them 200-farmie-coins if they would join the game and feed your cow? <----Welcome to boundless, exactly how it feels.

Don't buy until you read an update that says "New t5/t6 planets" Or "Lack of gems fixed" You will play past refund date, and when you reach mid tier... You will realize only a select few can have gems. They have it locked down tight, and the only few planets that have the only few resources available... Are all mined out. DO NOT buy this game until that update comes. You will regret it.

Early access means "play our game, tell us whats wrong, and we will change it." If you want this game to flourish then get in start playing and give FEEDBACK. Don't just whine that its not what you wanted and go else where, thats completely unhelpful. From the very start of announcing that it was coming out to early access they asked us to be apart of it. To help them make the changes that would allow this game to succeed the best for our area.

So don't listen to those that are crying for their money back. These are the people that ignored the early access label and demanded a perfect game right from the beginning. These people are foolish, and apperently can't read. If you want to get into the game early, and help shape it for the better, then buy it and give feedback to the devs about what you like and dislike, and if others share your opinion then it will be changed. See you in game ^^.

P.S The best thing you can do in the beginning is clicking the options above chatbar, and unchecking faction and help chat. Both are used by trolls right now to spam chat and discourage players by whining about every little thing they dont like about the game. It was annoying and frustrating and the game become 100% perfect after disabling both.

They need to close the game, and fix the broken things to recover this mess of a themepark. Get rid of the god awful factions and go back to the roots of the game that made it great. The gritty, edgy balance between bandits, lawmen, and miners. It wasn't supposed to be some stupid themepark with alerted quests. It was suppose to have players robbing banks, and trains. Not some stupid "HeY YaLL! Its TiMe FoR a ToWn CaPtUrE eVeNt!!!"

In short, DarkRP servers on Gmod have more balance, more to do, more fun than this junk. Infact, I bet darkrp could make a western themed version that looks quite similar, but with a hell of a lot more mechanics and things to do.

Heres the game in a nutshell: Get 2 laws. Last character should be a ninja. Focus killing enemy ninja. First ninja to die, the rest of the team dies. Congrats, you just won because no matter who you have, your not going to kill the other laws in time to stop the pwn, and if u focus them, the alive ninja will slaughter you. This is like a dumbed down version of law breakers, thjo it has more ppl cause its free to play.... its just not worth it, combat doesn't feel accurate, you honestly have more accuracy in team fortress 2... has a very similar feeling of you constantly shooting and getting nowhere. Doesn't replace law breakers sadly, just a cheap immitation that, once you understand the meta, the game is very annoyingly short.

forever distrust of snail games usa, avoid them like the plague. They don't know what they are doing. Balance is key, and balance is one thing this game does not have.

Joined a server on day 2. Most of the tree population was already going extinct, several animals and mushrooms as well.. And there lies the problem. If you want to play with people, you join a big server... But if you dont join on the very first day, you won't be able to play. You need tools to hunt food, you need resources to make tools, you need food to gather resources, wild food is near non-existant (on day 2!!!) The game is suppose to teach about ecology right...? Well all this game does is teach you that if you wern't born yesterday you will starve to death and be unable to save the world without begging for hand outs because apperently to reach sustainability, the world has to go near extinct on the very first day..

Refunding until this design flaw is worked out. (That is to say, the world apperently can only handle 10 people... Throw 100 at it and it runs out of everything on day 1.)

Can the game use some improvement? Of course, its early access. The skills could use more balance, as well as the difficulty (if you don't get a life leach/life regen skill with damage? You will never be able to solo without it.)

Again, its early access, but you know what is awesome? Its open world. Only the dungeons are instance, unlike PoE I can actually meet people fighting out in the field, I like that alot.

This game is amazing, and if your unsure about the 20 dollar price on steam, just google Killer Bundle 9. 12 more days at a price of $3.99.

The devs seem to listen, and despite all the problems others are having... I've only crashed twice and it doesn't even matter, its easy and quick to just reload the game, hell i crash more often on skyrim.

Devs, I believe in you. I think you will make this game better with every update. Just maybe work on adding more skills/ changing them up to be a little less stale? As it is... If you don't get life leach/ life regen skills... you cant play. Seems the pure damage skills should be either much stronger, or monsters a little weaker in damage. Maybe up the potion heals as well.

I'm sorry but this game is just bad. The balance is horrible, where supports and a key few damage heroes reign supreme. There are some supports that can completely negate your damage while killing you, their heals are that strong and work, unfortunately, on themselves. Only the most OP damage dealers like Freya can out do them in damage... Which means there are only a handful of heroes that are viable, that is, if you want to win against those also playing them. Thumbs down, this game is ruined by rage quitting players that for some reason don't get replaced by AI, and horrible balance.

Avoid like the plague. Lose internet twice in one week, or get reported for literally ANY reason, such as sucking at a hero, and without checking the report, they send you to Low Priority, filled with scumbags and horrible rules that are put in place to force you to stay in hour long matches that you KNOW you cannot win, but if you leave, you will be forced to win more matches before you can get back to normal. This MOBA has a justice system similar to the american prison system. Once your in, YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE. You will always come back. You are stuck with rapists, and murderers, even though you stole a candy bar. Choose any other moba. Upvote this if you also suffer from wrongful punishment.
