I played for about 3 hours on a free weekend. The main issue with this game is that the combat is way to rudimentary. Basically if you have more power than your opponent and win the first battle, you win the entire war. It's a steam roll. The game is very very similar to other paradox games (CK2 / EU). It feels like the took the same underlying code and rebranded it in space. Wouldn't recommend this game due to being a bit to boring. It's designed to be a major time sink for very little reward. It's kind of a sandbox in that you can do what you want / set your own goals, but there just isn't that much to do besides conquer

I've played for a little over an hour. The main issue is that the specs are simply to high and a lower - mid tier computer just can't handle it. I have a Intel I5-10400 2.9GHz, 32 gigs of ram, and a 1660 Super graphics card and it doesn't run well. The flight controls cut out so it can process other things. While I will admit that this is slightly lower than they recommend as the lowest specs, I thought it would probably still run decent on lowest settings. Wouldn't recommend in it's currrent state unless they can fix the processing. I think the real killer to this game is going to be that it simply doesn't work for the casual gamer.
