If you love Ace Attorney, you'll definitely love AAI. I mostly played part 1 back then, but I never got to part 2.

Comedy on point for the series, had my fair share of giggles and laughs with it, all while they give more love/context/life to the characters. Part 1's cases feel pretty brief, whereas part 2's, with the exception of the 1st case, tone it up a good notch.

The new sprites also look great and are pretty charming ^^

Wish they didn't do the whole "preorder to have X and Y!", just feels unfair for the people that tag along later on, as they did an amazing job with the re-arranged tracks from AAI2 (although they're only 5 tracks).

Funny thing about part 2 finally being translated is that I noticed a typo here and there (Kay: "Did they turned off the power to something?")

Haven't encountered any bots in a long while, maybe a closet cheater or two every ~20 games or so, thank you Valve.

A classic that goes on strong. It might not have major updates, but the community makes sure to pour its love to keep the game alive and fun (especially thanks to the fact that they now can add VScript for future official gamemodes!). Never stop everyone

Endless replayability, as many challenges as you want, each game being unique and different, and it has gotten TONS of love from the devs and community. There are a lot of DLCs, yeah, but at least you can use their subscription plan.

I'll never get tired of playing this game.

All good things have to come to an end

Although the game has received a nice revamp, they now force you to use an Epic Account, agree to their EULA, handing over some extra data regarding you and/or your Steam account (via vinculation), and installing some extra software/services in order to use that account and probably fetch some extra data about you.

There literally was no need to, and reasons such as it avoiding exploits through usernames should not even be why. This addition is just as much of a nuisance as was owning a Microsoft account (to simplify it) to play games back in the days. It also forces players that do not trust the company due to legitimate reasons to hand over their data.

In addition, the store is just... garbage. Before, if you won, you'd get crowns, which allowed you to buy cool cosmetics for your bean. Now, 99% of things cost show-bucks, which you can mostly obtain by paying with real money. The pass also lets you get a couple, but it's rarely anything worthwhile. It's a grind.

TL;DR: Using an Epic account should be optional and they ruined the store by making you pay with real money 99% of the things it offers.

Tl;dr It's a fun strategy game, but it can get quite repetitive, with some late-game lag frustration and/or stalemate.

It is way simpler than other Paradox Games (such as EU IV, VIC II, and CK to an extent), and the focus trees can spice your game a bit. It also has great mod support for when you get bored of playing the usual countries and trying the random and weird OP strategies, allowing you to play on custom maps, alternate scenarios, and even universes.

The late game is pretty mind-numbing, mostly because of the lag and stalemates that you can only mostly solve with nukes. Although recent updates have helped diversify it a bit with more support in your battles, it still can be a pain in certain areas where the AI has built a wall of human corpses that you cannot invade.

That said, the late game isn't that much important if you only care about your usual WW II scenarios.

The multiplayer mode can be somewhat fun too, but honestly it's not for me and I'd rather watch people play it instead. I can't commit what feels most of a day to a HoI IV multiplayer game.

Old time classic with plenty of surprises to discover for new players. Glad to have played it again and remember all the funny nonsense in it
