I played this right after playing the first Tales of Borderlands game, and immediately felt something was missing.
The writing, and characters themselves just seemed much more hollow, and less interesting than the prior instalment. Frankly, I cannot remember the story at all, but I know it felt tedious and almost painful to play through later on, with the various 'mini games' and frivolous ideas for filling in the story.

I think the idea of the story felt too forced, and the characters were too unrelatable and repulsive due to their over-exuberant personalities and quirks. Like, I genuinely wanted everyone in the story to die about 30 minutes into the game.....and that sentiment never died.
I'm not touching this with a ten-foot clown pole that's specially lubricated with oregano and lavender. I'm just wondering how they thought this would be accepted as a good installment to both the Borderlands Franchise and as a sequel to Tales of Borderlands.

Telltale knew how to make a story with quick time events, emotional pull, and moments in the game that really made you feel something for the characters.
This just felt like someone sold me a knock-off at the market after advertising it's likeness to the prior installment.
I'm hoping for better things ahead from gearbox, but my expectations remain low.

This is truly, something else to behold oneself to, or....expose oneself too.

Right off the bat, before I even loaded up the game, I ran into a bug. Apparently, there's an error when starting up this game that affects some users, all depending on their system, or more likely, chance. I attempted to install this on my original PC I played most of my steam games on for the last several years. And it simply wouldn't work.
I tried many work arounds but nothing worked.
Lo and behold, I forgot I installed this on my new PC. And it did work, no problems at all. Except well, when I began playing.

It's almost overwhelming when you compare what this game achieves and well, is objectively compared to the two prior titles in the franchise. Overwhelming in the face of what this series began as, and how the new development team went about in the third full entry into the series. It feels like it's supposed to be a mockery of the games that came out just about 5 years prior to this one.
I struggle to see how this is even related to Flatout, other than feeling like a fan-fiction made by borrowing elements of the prior games without capturing the true game mechanics and atmosphere. It genuinely reminds me of a mobile game, like Candy Crush. Or Angry Birds. Except this game makes one feel more like an Angry Bird when playing this game which should've had top honours in the equivalent of the Golden Raspberry Awards for videogames of 2011.
I can't find a single thing to praise this game for, for in every regard, it feels like a step, naw, a sprint backwards.
I've had more fun playing flash games. I tried every gamemode to give myself the full experience, and cannot for the life of me understand the thinking that went into development and release of this.

Considering the developers went into mobile game development, why am I not surprised that this feels like an IP for the mobile gaming market. Heck, they already inserted the ragdoll mechanics into a mobile format.

Just don't bother touching this. It's not just bad, it's soul destroying.

I gotta say, this is one of those games I absolutely treasure. I may not have many hours on my account, but I spent countless afternoons with my friend playing this during high school. The soundtrack introduced me to loads of music, and this was the perfect game to delve into after thoroughly enjoying Midnight Club 3 until I lost my copy of the game. I've lost my save file countless times for this game, but the replayability factor is VERY strong with this game, and the first one.
What this game accomplished and improved upon from the first entry in the series is really quite extraordinary. The game mechanics, dedication to fun, goofy side games in addition to the main racing campaigns gave this game room to be the unserious alternative to popular series of the time like Need for Speed and Gran Turismo. Please, please if you haven't tried it yet, please try this game! It's perfect for playing with friends.

I suck at this game. Will I get any better? Probably not. That being said, this game reminds me a lot of TF2, which is a game I played almost religiously years ago. This game contains a lot of fun mechanics and elements similar to a game like the one I just mentioned, but only because they're crucial components of the genre.
The builds are fun in this game, the maps are interesting and the destruction physics make this a little more fun than your standard shooter.
I'll probably warm up to this game given time, but so far I find it an interesting entry into the multiplayer environs of online gaming. If you want to have fun with friends, give this game a try.

This is a great game to have some fun with some people, and just play around with various assets and gamemodes created from a fun game. The community on here is great, and there's tons to do.

This game is quite intriguing. It almost has the ability to speak to the player, to provide them with a thought experiment and to really allow a flow of ideas and emotions to come around, as be if the player is willing to invest themselves into the story. I've heard much about the replayability of the story, but this game didn't intrigue me enough to play through it again....partly because point and click adventures are not something I enjoy much. Having said that, this would be my favourite of that genre, with a great plot and a fair soundtrack (I like about half of it...it becomes annoying at times). My only issue was a bug I had with the AI of one of the characters where the character became stuck on the rocks....this happened twice and I had to replay a level twice. Another slight peeve was just the interactive elements of the story....it felt a bit bare.

In conclusion, this game is quite a nice treat to play, although it isn't my type of game. The story was a bit short, but made up for it by it's effective plot and art style. I'd grant this game a 7/10.

This game has a great deal to it. Incredibly immersive and varied to explore, the world doesn't have as much to do as one would hope, but there's a good deal of fun and mayhem one can create easily. The storyline is very solid, easily allowing this game to be the most difficult, and one of if not the most fun Grand Theft Auto to date. The amount of weapons and vehicles one can use in this game is astounding, and the whole satirical/joking manner that the game parodies reality is a feat thats been well accomplished, and definitively suits the style of earlier GTA games. Earnestly, I'd give this game a 9/10.....but the steam version is buggy, and has some REALLY frustrating issues at times. You WILL run into an issue somewhere along your playthrough of the game. The steam version gets a 6.5/10.

I found this game to be really boring and just unappealing when I did play. The graphics are alright, as is the story....but the game doesn't feel that exciting. It seems like a regualr click and interact sortof game....I have no idea why there is so much praise for this game.

With what I heard of this game, it sounded VERY good, and much better than what Simcity 2013 attempted to achieve. Unfortunately, this game failed to actually keep me captivated, interested, or really just in the mood to play. Sure, it has loads of features and community-oriented assets, although with what one would expect, the idea of building a successful city really becomes incredibly mundane and boring by this game. The AI for the citizens, truly isn't functional, for even with an increased budget for transit (as an example), the citizens generally fail to use transit lines more frequently, even if the population of the city is to grow and there is improved transit service. There isn't a whole lot done when expanding a city, just placing roads, pipes, electrical infrastructre (if needed), then zoning nd adding respective services, and maybe other things like transit and specialized buildings. This constant process of expansion eventually is all you do in the game, and it lacks the enjoyment of knowing you have a successful, vibrant city.
