Cant wait for the mods !

Alone this game is amazing to look at, though the AI is a bit... dated ? (NPC walking into a wall, or stuck enemys taking a few seconds to realize your there ETC)

has some stuttering & loading that can cause some real strain on frames. (play with the settings a bit )

world seems a bit empty or life less,

id give it a solid 7 out of 10

Price was a tad high for a remaster, but you aint a real fan of the series if you didn't hahaha

What in Oblivion is that ! its my review ! If you never played the original, then you will enjoy this, the world is amazing to look at, even without mods, just wait, i'm sure the modding community will have some great stuff ~

Nothing wrong with the game. What's unacceptable is that you cannot for whatever reason choose what gets installed on Steam or Battle.net. Not everyone has storage the size of Activision's wallet. Let us be able to choose. Thanks. Peas & Tanks 437GB for initial install is insane. Please seek help.

Review Update & possible fixes for those experiencing the loading bugs. ( cant help you with the stuttering)

Game boots fine.

menu works correctly.

Start new game > load data for bonus from past game > ( first red flag ) Cant find it apparently ) > okay .. continues > Black screen . . . > waits 10 - 18 minutes .. ALT + F4 ( POP UP BOX APPEARS ) ? ( Fatal Error ?) huh ... erm,, okay > (maybe it was my settings, turns things down / adjusts things > trys again > same thing .. > continue adjusting things > and retrying.. No success... an hour goes by... > gives up. > writes review WTF . . . c,mon man... i waited All night for this... damn....

i love this game series to death.

and i hate making a Thumbs down review... but ... what the heck... ? anyone know whats the problem ? or have a workaround or am, i missing something here ? -sighs-

Alright, , So after trying this and that... i found the most silly. of fixes for getting it to actually go though the "freeze loading " it may sound strange, and trust me i know it is... if you get stuck at a black or a white wall.. (loading part ) you can fix it by pressing F11 like 10 - 20 times and wait. and it will magically make it load properly. kinda funny. ... Anyhow ....

The game is definitely Not Ready to be sold yet.. it should've been pushed back.. it's stuttery and laggy, mess for a game that doesn't even seem that graphically intensive. seems like everything is all cpu bound.. kinda weird... but it is a port.. sadly. i experienced weird textures pop in and out, in game , and in cut-scenes, ( changing the graphics quality did little to nothing in terms of appearance, it did save some frames,,, sorta.. couldn't really tell with it wanting to drop to under 20 from 60fps ( i had it locked) also using a 4k Samsung 70 inch display ) so, yeah. anyways so like at one point cloud was walking up some "stairs" but he was just walking on nothing but what looked like a 2D mesh of stairs... but they keep popping in and out.. was jarring .. takes you right out of the story & whats happening because you just sit there thinking wtf is going on with the stairs ? lol ... it needs.. like.. alot of .. um.. porting.. or what ever.. it would be nice to actually use my gpu.. cause it seemd my cpu was doing all the work..my card never got above 58c after an hour of playing, and was pretty idle if not mid. my cpu was dying though lol at like 100% the whole time. ( played the game for like an hour or two, .. after finding the F11 loading button KEKW ( who knew there was a manual loading button between scenes ? )

Anyhow, hopefully they come around sooner then later... and address all the issues. in a nice fashion. i did pay like 90$ for this mess.. the lighting, the textures, the stuttering.. the weird broken loading... i would like to pick up where i left off with the story in the last game..
And i play Skyrim with like 3411 mods (the nolvus awakening modpack) on the high version. and get a solid 45-90fps. easy. with the very rare, and small stutter. and it makes this game look outdated.. so.. i know it's not my pc, and i know this game shouldent be eating up what ever its eating.. and acting this way . NOLVUS was FREE. ...THIS WAS 100$. this should be WAAYYY MORE STABLE then it is. ... anyhow ive said more the enough. needs higher graphic presets, a whole lotta patches, & some REAL LOVE. before i change my review to a thumbs up. it would be bad taste to allow this to pass. just cause i love the series. -drops mic- :ThreeForce:

my one thing i do wish they put back is steam remote play. so i can fight friends who don't have it yet. Posted 6 February, 2024 (804.9 hrs at review time) with a thumbs up.

Twas A Nice little puzzle / spooky game. for the price of a coffee & doughnut, the graphics are what led me to play it, definitely hopeful for what the future games will look like.

Game-play: basically a memory game, with one or two minor spooks. nothing really in the horror genre unless your easily scared.

Graphics: Very nice level and lightning quality. love it.

overall Rating: 8/10

if you have an hour or two and your looking for something to do, try it.

Also: don't spoil the game by watching anything on it. just jump in. Trust me. :)
