Bethesda, for the love of all that's holy stop shooting yourself in the foot. people didn't want paid mods the first time, and I seriously doubt the numbers the old creation club content pulled were large enough to warrant this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ before anniversary edition came out. willing to bet none of the people responsible for this decision will see any backlash, they'll just have the rank and file suffer for them

Basically, don't pick up this game if you want any sort of choice beyond faction in your story. The dialogue system also leaves a lot to be desired, especially when all answers come down to "yes, sarcastic yes, no (yes), and questions". The gameplay is fine, but they removed the aspect of leveling your skills and selecting perks based on skill rather than just S.P.E.C.I.A.L. levels. Now, the nice thing about this system of getting perks based on that is you can get something early game for a build you had in mind. I feel that, in many ways, Bethesda downgraded the Fallout series just to cover a broader spectrum of people. Who can blame them for wanting more money? Well, if you love having choice in your game, you can sure as ♥♥♥♥ blame Bethesda for this.
