First off let me say -- I obtained a free beta key from Alienware Arena. I'm very happy I didn't spend money on this game. If it remained F2P with grinding for mercs (no P2W) then I would consider still playing, but even after full release I will not pay $20 for it. It is far from polished and still needs a lot of work tweaking classes. Thus, I'm giving this a Thumbs Down until further notice.

But, that being said:

Dirty Bomb is: Counter Strike meets TF2 with perks...

If you have played either or both you can jump right in and have some fun. You will see familiar classes that you saw in TF2 but with the mechanics and physics that CS is known for (running speeds with weapons, crouch jumping, etc...).
Teamwork is imperative if you plan on winning this game. Much like the different modes of gameplay seen in TF2, Dirty Bomb brings together all of them into one. In one game you will spend time escorting a vehicle, setting C4 charges, and disabling enemy perks/turrets/etc...

Overall, It is a lot of fun until you realize its been in beta for 2 years and well there are quite a few issues to bear:

1 - Tons of wipes have happened, thus theres a large population of individuals that are very skilled but low level
2 - No matchmaking -- you get paired up with people that are 10-15 levels above you with great perk loadouts and well, you don't stand a chance
3 - TONS of HACKERS -- at least 1 every other match - Everyone will have 10 kills and 10 deaths (3k XP) but there's that one person with 40 kills and 3 deaths (15k XP)
4 - No easy way to report people for hacking or the like - you must find them on Steam Community and then report from there (as far as I know)
5 - Tons of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and rude people that do not want to play as a team or help you (medics run right past you while you are lying on the ground)
6 - Cost to buy new mercs is too much
7 - A couple mercs are way to OP right from the start (not including a nice perk loadout)

I will keep playing Dirty Bomb here and there for fun. I do still enjoy a game here and there. But, until many of the issues are resolved I don't think I will be back for a full run and I definitely will not be purchasing the game until I see legitimate matchmaking and a solid report system with active banning.
