One of the best remakes ever made.

The immersive sim genre is one of the most intensive to develop, but Arkane studios has shown repeatedly they know what they're doing; the best example being Dishonored. Every design choice is about freedom: story choices, combat, character build, and mission structure, you can play however you want at every turn. That freedom is elevated by its integration into the game world and atmosphere in a feat of emergent worldbuilding.

Completely redefined its genre; even today it is the standard to which action RPGs are held. Incredibly satisfying combat, immense build variety, intricately connected world, immersive sound design, and masterful worldbuilding/lore. Strong contender for game of the decade.

This game will never die

Best platform fighter that isn't Smash

The amount of care in this game makes it one of the best RPGs of all time. Despite taking liberties with the source material, it stays true to the books where it matters. TW3 stands out for its sidequests. Whereas most RPGs of this scale use them as filler content, nearly all of them are writing and gameplay wise equal to the main game. Its two expansion packs are up there with Fromsoft's in terms of quality, and Gwent is such a good minigame it got a standalone release

FINALLY a Steam release! This game is a triumph from Dire Wolf Digital. They took the mechanics of Hearthstone and added the Lane and Prophecy mechanics to increase strategic depth. Also an actual story mode based on the incredibly rich TES lore. Even as a F2P player, building a sizeable collection is in no way difficult; earning gold and soul gems is pretty easy. And the card art is absolutely fantastic as well. Cards like Odahviing actually resemble their lore equivalents compared to their in-game depictions. Get this game if you have any interest in card games or TES.
