Within 30 minutes of starting the game two separate characters tell you that you have no b1tches. Best game of all time.

Wonderful adventure game. Expands and builds upon the original Skyrim mod in creative ways. As a standalone game this story has room to breathe, and the real-world parallels are more powerful than fictional ones.

The game itself is fantastic. Good gameplay. Good story, Good characters. Nothing to complain about there.

On the technical side its a disaster. I originally bought this game when I had a GTX 780. Except I couldn't play it, because it would just straight up crash on launch, despite exceeding the minimum spec. I looked it up and apparently this game does not work with that GPU at all. For some reason I didn't refund immediately. I later upgraded to an RTX 2070S and had a great time in 1080p. Performance was fine for the most part but would randomly stutter at times. Some UI elements were janky and prerendered cutscenes were still low resolution.

I later upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor and discovered that this game does not scale its resolution past 1080 nor run higher than 60fps. The UI also does not scale, so it looks pixelated. Plus, for some reason, now the prerendered custcenes have this terrible flickering that makes them almost unwatchable. Now that I had two monitors, sometimes the game would randomly start on the wrong screen or crash when alt-tabbed. I had to download an external mod (F.A.R.) to fix the resolution scaling, framerate, and alt-tabbing. Now, I'm no stranger to modding and don't have any problems with it. But if a game HAS to be modded to reach a minimum expected standard that's unacceptable. I know Japanese devs and Square Enix in particular have a history of janky PC ports but that doesn't justify it.

APPARENTLY, the Xbox Gamepass version on PC was extensively patched by Microsoft to fix most of these issues and it runs far better on that platform as a result. There is a planned update for the Steam version coming but we still don't know what that upgrade will entail.

Bottom line, if you want to play this on PC right now, get the MS store version. Else wait for the Steam patch and see how much they improve.

Good game with a lot of really cool ideas that could have been great. Production ran into massive issues, this game was in development for almost ten years and was originally conceived as a XIII spinoff. The Live Service model does not work for a single player RPG and took resources that should have been put towards making the core gameplay and story better. On top of all that, the story and lore of this game were split up into multiple pieces of media including an anime OVA, a movie, multiple DLC episodes (including some cancelled ones,) and a novel. Important details and moments were left out of the game entirely because you're expected to know them already from the aforementioned. A lot of character development and story moments have little weight behind them due to this.

Still, what's there is enjoyable. The setting and world are unique. The "road trip/camping with the boys simulator" aspect is a lot of fun, and I like how it's reflected in the mechanics when people temporarily leave/join the party. Warp strike is very engaging in combat, despite the fact that it's barely mentioned/used outside of battle. And for FF fans, this game has the best version of summons in the entire series.

6/10

The first game is one of my favorites of all time, the sequel just improved on it in almost every way. If you thought the original was too short definitely get this.

I'm not that far in yet but I'm already blown away. This is the best CRPG I've played in years. There is no combat, but it makes up for it with some really good use of skill checks, a creative skill system, and some of the best writing in a game since Planescape: Torment.
