Time is continuous but space has discrete points. This means you run into funny problems at the edges. Take for instance how we "tell time". We tell time by hands on a clock; the hands move through space. That is not what time is. Time is what you experience when you are waiting at a red light. Time is feeling your coffee cool down in your hands. Time is your experience, at all times from your birth to your death. Time is not 11:00 PM -> 12:00 PM. Have you ever remembered one of your birthdays to the exact second it began and ended?

The measurement of time as hands on a clock that move through space is an abstraction of what time really is. Space has a demonstrable minimum distance, a minimum unit, in other words, there are discrete points of space. It is impossible to reduce time to a planck length, there are no discrete points in time. Spacetime is an abstraction, the two things can never fully line up because one is continuous and the other is discrete. Xeno's paradox ran into this problem over 2000 years ago, and we laugh at him for being so stupid- He's not the stupid one. We are, because we abstract time into something it isn't; Time as told through movement in space is an incredibly useful tool; but that is not time.
