The new culture system is undoubtably a nice addition to the game, adding flavor and giving the player the option to create your own culture. But this feature that some say should have been in the base game already, quickly gets overshadowed by the royal court itself, and it is something special.

The special thing is that the court is at first glance cool and all but those few events that happen, quickly get repetitive and boring. Not to mention that a late game court is ridiculously expensive and unsustainable for a late game empire. The Throne room feels and seems ackward since it is so out of place. The artifact system they brought back from ck2 also feels this way and these factors break the immersion that has been ck for me. The visuals are nice but definetly not what crusader kings needed.
What it needed was new gameplay additions, for example like they had in ck2 playable republics or more startdates with more character events, flavor for muslims, supernatural events, silkroad, sickness mechanics, crusade mechanics that are actually fun and rewarding for the winner, great project designer, china, horde mechanics, indian flavor, immortality for the absolute chad ruler you are playing, they had all those things and surely many more in ck2, but nothing anyway close this epic in ck3. If you want to experience these things you have to rely on mods.

But by far my biggest compaint is the fact that, this doesnt add anything new and you'll play the game the same way you did before and the fact that they charge 30 bucks for this which is insane. The first flavor pack in ck3 Northern Lords added many fun and interesting events and options for asatru characters. But this lacks in comparison. This, a major expansion which adds practically nothing gameplaywise, lacks in comparison to a flavor pack that added new gameplay mechanics for a fraction of the price. I would honestly not even recommend to wait for a sale here since the obvious right thing to do would be to return back to playing ck2.

tl;dr RIP 30 bucks for everyone not owning ck3 Royal Edition, go play ck2 instead.

Although there are some bugs and some annoying and weird things happening while you play, it is still undoubtably the easily best 1920s mafia game out there. And I believe its gonna become better with some time.

A fox took my friend for a fool and made him follow it for like an hour just for him to lose the trail :(

this is just my job but its a game! its fantastic and so realistic. the policemen look like real ones and the graphics are also like in real life!
