At first I was skeptical if I would like the game. So I hesitated and didn't buy it for a long time. But it turned out to be much better then I expected. Really liked the design, the characters, the animations and the gameplay mechanics. The "overwhelmingly positive" rating on steam is definitely not over-hyped.

If you have VR, this game is a must play. Simply because how innovative and graphically amazing it is.

I wanted to give this game a chance. Really. I even tried to play this with mods. While there are some good things in this game: the leveling and progression system and maybe a few characters, the game feels really really bad. The controls are not fluent, the animations are worse than in some 2009 games, the conversations make you want to skip most of them. There is also a lot of generic, cut-and-paste, useless content. As a result you just don't believe in this world, there is no feeling immersion. This game is not just bad comparing to the original mass effect. It is bad in itself. Very poor gamedesign.

I was actually surprised that this game aged so well. The new content is also nice :)

Many people say that the game did not work. I just want to share that I did not have problems playing it on above average graphics settings (Video Card: GeForce RTX 2060 Super). The only problems I encountered were with controls that from time to time stop working properly (the characters movement gets locked in 2D for a few seconds, usually during combat). I haven't finished the game yet, so this is my experience based on 20 hours of gameplay.

Pros:
1. The story and lore are interesting so far. I want to find out how the game ends and what happened in this world.
2. The combat with robots is tough (playing on Very Hard), variable and demands experimentation and thinking. The difficulty has been increasing for me over time. At one point the game reminded me of Dark Souls.
3. The graphics is very good, although for some reason my expectations were even higher.
4. There are many weapons available with unique mechanics and I think the game has invented the best way to have the player want to use several different weapons and do so comfortably. This is very refreshing and should be used in other games.
5. Resource managment is fun in this game. You really feel like a hunter.
6. Trials are fun.

Cons:
1. I don't really like the main protagonist. She is very self-centered and sometimes ungrateful to others. Aside from being extremely confident and somewhat benevolent she doesn't have much personality. Maybe this will improve later in the game. But she is much less interesting to me than, say, Geralt the Witcher or Commander Shepard from Mass Effect. This is especially strange considering [2].
2. I did not find any meaningful choices so far in the game. I am not against linear gameplay, but even linear games usually offer choices in some minor things, like side quest outcomes. Here you only get to change some responses that don't really matter much. And even these choices are rare. I would understand if having the character make all the choices would be an important tool for showing character development but... see [1].
3. The sound track is rather unmemorable.
4. The climbing mechanics are mildly annoying. Mostly climbing is extremely casual, but sometimes you fall because the character reacts to your controls in an unexpected way.

Weird:
There was a huge boss that can break rocks and can also kill you in 2 hits. He was very hard until I found his greatest weakness. But it was not a weapon. It was wood. You see, he can break the hardest rocks, but a simple wooden structure is simply impenetrable for him. So I hid behind a piece of wood and he couldn't harm me. This reminded me of the movie Signs, were the aliens had a problem with wooden doors. I guess in this world wood is tougher than stone and metal. That would also explain why you can kill robo-dinosaurs with an arrow to the knee.

Conclusion: despite some minor issues I am enjoying the game so far. Don't have a rating yet.

I don't like platformers, but this one is just very nice. The animation is beautiful, the gameplay is very fun. Although I miss the difficulty of the first part.

Wow. The action gameplay in this game is just amazing. And the Nemesis system deserves a Nobel Prize. The story sucks and there isn't much of it, but this game is not about the story. It's about killing Orcs. And this is the best game about killing Orcs in modern history.

The first survival mission is so good and refreshing, that it is enough to recommend the game.

Many years ago I played Shogun Total war. then I played a bit of Medieval Total War and Rome Total War. And I liked those games. I was expecting many improvements from this new title, considering the vast experience of the developers on making games like this. The main issue I have are with the combat. I don't think it changed much since Shogun Total War. I was surprised to find out how outdated it is. How old are all of the mechanics. And the new mechanics (such as casting spells) are very clunky. As I result I got bored very quickly, because there is nothing fun I can do in this game, that I haven't done in previous similar games. And the graphics hasn't improved much as well, so it isn't even more pleasant to watch. I hope the developers do something new in upcoming Total War games.

I gave this game about 5 chances. Intalling, playing, unisntalling, installing back again. I think the RPG system is quite nice, the art is very beautiful, gameplay is polished. However, I was unable to experience any emotion from the story, characters, quests. 41 hours in the game and I can't even remember anything I did in it or cared about. This is very contrasting to some other modern isometric RPGs like Pathinder Kingmaker which is quite similar, yet gets me so much involved in the game story and characters, some of which you simply fall in love with.
