My little Dreamativity

The great Odyssey we joined
So awesome, we'd enjoyed
We didn't follow the creed
Who the f*ck does it need
Doing under the breeze Shaka Laka
Ahoy, envy and watch us, Malaka!

One of my favorite games! Like both, Odyssey and Origins, but Odyssey is a much better version of Origins for me! One of those games that I went to full completion (map and quests).

I like Ancient Greece, and its Mythology a lot! And here you can meet it in the base game and even more in the second DLC about Atlantis. There are many famous historical persons from those times and not only from Ancient Greece. I will not spoil anything, so you can see it yourself.

I like the combat and skills - action-action plus you have 4 active skills for a melee weapon and 4 active skills for a bow. There are plenty of melee weapons you can choose from. The items (armor, weapons) have different visuals and stats + you can find sets of armor that will give even more benefits. I like that Odyssey has a loot system that you can find and get from the enemies. All items are upgradeable. Also, there is a transmog system - you can put an item visual on any other of the same category. The skills tree has many interesting features to offer, both active and passive, and you can upgrade them. You can upgrade your ship with materials that are easily obtainable in the open world or as rewards. Didn't have any problems with it or with leveling - I was always several levels above the recommended and required level of the main quest. You have a mount here, and you can obtain different skins for it as well.

There are plenty of quests. I almost didn't do quests from the boards - they are randomly generated just to have XP and currencies. But I did all the quests with the story. And they can be hilarious, dramatic, exciting, and interesting. The same feeling I have about the main quest.

The game feels repetitive at some point. But you will not find the big forts or locations the same. Even small fortifications are at least slightly different. I like the world and exploring it, and this climate (though islands could differ drastically) is more to my taste than the one in the Origin. The world is beautiful and big, and you can visit some iconic places!

I like the bounty system when hunters go for your head, and you can kill them or make them one of your lieutenants on the ship. Also, you can progress at this bounty system as well and eventually become number one.

I completed the game long ago and maybe forgot something to say, but all in all - the game is cool and will give many hours to play even without a full completionist run. Though, as I say, it will feel repetitive at some point, so take it into consideration before trying the game!

Ah, it's wonderful you both enjoyed the game, @Reuz and @Nell! I went full completion and it was exciting for me to explore and play as Alexios! Want to play AC: Valhalla, can't wait and try, wish one day I will have an opportunity to get it for my collection :lunar2020ratinablanket:

AC Odyssey is in my Top 3: RDR2, TW3 and of course, AC Odyssey. All 10/10.
