Alright, so this game isn't really in the best shape at the moment. You have tons of people that are hacking, lobby freezing, etc. in game. There are tons of bugs and glitches as well, as well as game crashes at the worst moments. On top of that, Ubisoft has been doing very many controversial things as of late, such as the Ying buff, the Battlepass, and also the changes to Pro League.

However, this game is hands down one of the most unique FPS experiences I have (and will ever have) the fortune of playing. Before I switched to PC, I was playing this game on Xbox. Need less to say, this game is much more fun on here than on console. Toxicity on console seemed rampant, but on PC, for me at least, it is very minimal. Recoil control and aim are much better on PC aswell, and features exclusive to PC like leaning w/o ADS and also walking. However, the best aspects of this game IMO are both the unique operators and their gadgets, and also the destruction on the maps. Vertical gameplay is very underrated in this game, and I have netted many kills in this way with Operators like Pulse, Buck, and Sledge. The gadgets of these operators are also very simple, like Pulse with his heartbeat sensor, Buck with his underbarrel shotgun, and Sledge with, you guessed it, his sledgehammer. Of course, some gadgets have gotten lazier and too powerful, such as with Dokkaebi and Lion, who are able to find defenders on any part of the map with a press of a button, but because of Ubisoft balancing, they have had their power reduced compared to what they were 2 years ago. 1v1s are also some of the most adrenaline filled moments in this entire game. Knowing you could either win or lose in a 4v4 with less than 10 seconds left gives you tons of adrenaline, and winning or losing lifts a huge weight off your back. It's also the best when you play with friends, giving you win after win if you choose that path instead of solo queue.

In short, if Ubisoft did more for the game and the community as a whole, then they would have the game at pristine condition. However, it seems as if they aren't listening to the community with regards to cheating, exploits, and just balancing. Hopefully they are able to fix some of these issues within Year 5, maybe possibly during the new season, Steel Wave. All in all, I rate this game an 8/10. It is one of the most unique FPS games I have ever played, but laziness and controversy from Ubisoft keep me from giving it a higher score. Overall, this game is good, but be prepared to put in tons of hours into it and also to deal with BS, whether that be from the game itself, or from the players.
