This is a very unstable program paired with an absolutely terrible "season" progression system where it takes an average of 6 matches to advance 1 single level. Pair that with the weaknesses of the original games and you have a buggy, exploitative waste of $40. It's no wonder why no one plays.

I hope they finish it! A good Age of Empires clone.

I must say I have been looking for a full release sidescrolling katana'em'up for a while now. I figured that they would be easy to find, what with the likes of Ronin and Mark of the Ninja becoming so popular. However, there only was one other sidescrolling REALTIME katana'em'up game on the market as of my purchase of AwW:Rearmed. The reviews of the other game scared me off, so I got this one instead.

I was initially drawn to the black and white art style, and the look of the main character. However I plan to stay because of the genuine challenge of the game. Each new enemy takes thought to learn how to beat, and facing groups of enimes is quite difficult at times. On top of that, bosses are thrown into the mix (although the first one is currently pretty easy to cheese with the jump attack.)

The game never gets super easy, but it is never so unapproachable that you have to quit it for a while (a la dark souls). I believe I will keep coming back to it again and again. Hopefully with its steam release, the game will become as popular as it deserves to be.

I really actually like this game. I'll pretty much play any skateboarding game since the EA skate games aren't on PC (thanks EA) but I was pleasantly surprised by how great the controls of Olli Olli are. The tricks feel very similar to their real life counterparts. For example, kickflips in real life are a flick off of your backside front of the nose, and in olli olli it's a flick to the right on the analog stick (which would be your backside if you ride goofy).

That and the variety of tricks are what keep me coming back. The courses are fun, but if feels a lot less like skating in the later levels. The first world is still my favorite.

The one possible con I've had so far is in the quality of the port. The game occasionally will have a runtime error and die on me for no real reason, and it's the only game I play that does it. But when it works, which is usually, it's a great game.

I bought this game on sale expecting very little, but looking for the zombie game that really feels like an apocalypse - not a shooting gallery. Surely, I love playing a round of L4D or KF now and then but in truth they are only satisfying for their shooter components, settings, and funny physics.

Project Zomboid is nothing like that.

The first time I fired the game up it told me, "This is the story of how you died." Of course that got the philosopher in me interested. After all, don't you "die" in every video game, but usually with little consequence? Well, that first game, I lasted a mere minutes (4 hours of game time).

From that moment, I realized that there was a lot more to this game than I was expecting, and a lot more than some of the other early access zombie games offer.

Are there still bugs? Yes. Is everything in the game that should be? No.

But what the game does to its player transcends what most games do.

It makes you really care about how you live and die in the zombie apocalypse. And for that, and because it is (in my experience) without any game breaking bugs, this game deserves a 10/10. Someone should have made something like it 10 years ago. I would still be playing it.
