Couldn't even get into a server so I decided to watch some streamers and these devs lied about everything. Thankfully Steam has an amazing refund policy.

I honestly really wanted to give this game a positive review but there are many issues that must be fixed before I even recommend this to someone.

Pros-
-Amazing base building
-Combat against regular enemies is very enjoyable
-Co-op outside boss arenas is super fun
-Vampire theme done right
-Resource gathering isn't an awful grind
-Map is a great size with done of variety with enemies and locations
-Many things that it does different that works

Cons:
-Locking stronger armor/weapons behind bosses is the absolute dumbest thing I could think of and I feel like this is one of the main reasons that the game has a lower than average player count. Let me explain for those of you that are actually planning on getting the game. You cannot upgrade your character with better gear until you kill certain bosses. So if you are stuck on a boss the only thing you can grind for is stuff to repair your armor/weapons. You will not be able to make anything better. For anyone defending this system you are actively the reason why this game will perish. This is something I hope won't happen but I am being realistic.
-Boss fights are the most unfun I have ever had in a game, you are always struggling with bosses since upgrades are locked behind their deaths. They are even worse in co-op since the boss scales with how many players are with you and normally this would be fine if it was an even scale like many souls games for example. But its almost like the devs didn't even try their own game and sometimes you can tell where the skimmed through without making sure this would work with the community.
-IF YOU ARE SOLO there is a good chance you will not enjoy the game. And again this does go back to the bosses especially once you reach level 60 (spider queen). I recommend any of you to watch this boss fight on youtube and tell me if this actually looks enjoyable. Also there are a few wandering bosses that despawn if you do not kill them fast enough.
SIDE NOTE: I know this looks like I am raging at only the boss fights but trust me the boss fights are literally the main part of the game. You literally cannot progress any other way.

This is pretty much it when it comes to this review and although there is more good than bad. The bad weighs a ton that actually affect the rest of the game. I will allow comment if anyone has questions.

Honestly one of the best indie games I have ever played. 100% worth the money and its one of the few games where most of the randoms are just enjoyable to play with. I honestly hope that this game reaches more people because it truly is a fun experience.

Okay so since I have over .4 hours my review is automatically better than the thousands on here.

In case you are new here many of the low brain usage people on here are complaining about a easily fixable stutter issue. (Just turn motion blur and v-sync off) Or complaining about the anti piracy software which if you had something against it then why did you get the game in the first place??

ACTUAL REVIEW: NO SPOILERS

Let me start off by saying that it is really enjoyable. For some reason it recorded only 4 hours but I was on this game for about six which is roughly half of the game from what I have been told.

The combat- is surprisingly good although the variation of it is pretty lacking it is still silk smooth and honestly it feel right for what they were going for.

Story- Its alright, lore is where its at so definitely pick up audio logs as you go. My big issue with it is that virus origin feels a bit generic. With Dead space you had that feeling of the unknown with the Marker and necromorphs but in this game it feel sort of like a typical zombie origin story. I am hoping we get more in-depth further past the 6 hour mark or possibly in future DLC.

Enemies- Perfect design lots of variety and honestly there are not any complaints

Death Animations- These are super well done and honestly I would go as far to say that they are better than the ones we have seen in dead space.

Performance: Once you fix the easy issue that these walking L's are complaining about it runs really smooth.

Overall I just wanted to make this review not only to compliment the game but to also insult the morons that can't figure out the most basic of problems. Anyways I give it an 8/10 so far just remember this is only 6 hours in.

This game would be better if they fired Toby
