Imagine this, you've just bought a house and you're looking forward to moving in. But when you get there, there is no house, just a pile of bricks and nothing more. You try and find out why the house hasn't been built, and then you're told that your house is still in planning and will get built, but it won't be any time soon. It might be done in a few years time, but now that you've bought this supposed "house", it's up to you to fund various parts of its construction. Buy all the future pieces of DLC that should have been in this game from the start and one day you'll be able to finally live in your new house.

Paradox have put together the absolute minimum in this game, the foundation for future flavour packs. This game is a rinse and repeat simulator, with virtually all nations feeling exactly the same. It's so shallow that Rome, the nation in the title of the game will need its own flavour pack in the future for it to feel different to any other nation. Once you get passed the early game, which only feels different if you start in different areas of the map, it ultimately transcends into the same boring and shallow experience.

Get this game in 2 years when there might be some actual new content and replayability.

I'm not sure how Warhorse Studios can justify the $10 pricetag for what? 2 hours of gameplay? It's borderline daylight robbery. I'm not sure what they've been doing for the last few months, but surely it can't have been working on this piece of DLC. The charlatan is back, but you have to pay for his quest, even though he told you to meet him in Ledetchko in the main game, you have to buy this DLC to finally do that (the quest is bugged anyway). Heck, even basic bugs that have been around for months like clipping still aren't fixed. Even the tournament mode and the "hyped" black knight is completely lackluster and is completed in basically the first 10-15 mins. After that, you are basically sitting around for over a week, hoping that the next tournament will start. And yes, I know that the tournament mode is free content, however, it was advertised in the trailers before launch and yet, after all this time, its basically a 10 min distraction you can do once a week. KCD is one of my favourite games, and I have completed multiple playthroughs on across the PC and PS4 versions, but Warhorse have really dissapointed with this DLC. If you don't pick this up, you're honestly not missing out on much.
