Recommended (with caveats) 6.5/10

Broken Arrow is a good game with solid potential. I really enjoy the minute-to-minute gameplay they absolutely nailed the wargame mechanics. One of my favorite parts is that you can continuously spawn units on cooldown, which encourages more creative and risky strategies. The pacing is spot on for my taste.

That said, there are some major issues holding the game back right now.

Multiplayer Problems:
Currently, matches are limited to 5v5, which is a problem when players drop out. If just one person leaves due to a bad connection or bad temper, it often feels like a lost match. If two people drop which happens more often than it should the match becomes completely unwinnable. This wouldn't be as frustrating if the ranked ELO system worked properly, but it doesn't. You gain about three times more ELO for a win than you lose for a loss, which encourages players to just queue up and hope for free wins when the enemy team disconnects. Out of my last 10 games, only one had all 10 players stay the full match. Because of this, ELO rankings feel meaningless.

Deck Building & UI Issues:
Deck building is part of the fun in games like this, but the current UI needs some serious improvements. For example, it's not clear what each unit can target can it shoot at helicopters? Airplanes? You’re just supposed to know that a Tor-M2DT missile can shoot at both, while a PAC-2 missile can only shoot aircraft. That kind of info should be clearly shown in the deck builder. Small quality-of-life improvements here would go a long way.

Campaign Mode:
The campaign is a extended tutorial not very engaging. It looks like there’s choice involved (e.g., choosing whether to take the city, airport, or harbor), but in the end you’re forced to do all three anyway, making the choice pointless. It’s a missed opportunity, especially since the multiplayer deck-building system which clearly had a lot of development effort is completely absent from single-player. Why not integrate that into the campaign to make it more meaningful?

Final Verdict:
Broken Arrow is fun and promising, but I can’t fully recommend it in its current state. If you enjoy modern wargames, you’ll likely find the core gameplay satisfying just wait for a sale or until the devs address the multiplayer issues (especially disconnections and the broken ELO system). Right now, it’s hard to take ranked play seriously, and that really drags down the experience.

It takes some time to get used to, but overall it's a solid game. Once you realize you're not supposed to kill off all the zombies (since they respawn extremely quickly), the gameplay becomes intense and enjoyable.

However, I really dislike the leveling system. I've played about 8 hours and am only at level 6 out of roughly 100. Losing your character and all the expensive gear upon death means most players stick to playing level 1 characters. The heavy reliance on RNG makes it too risky to use high-level characters or valuable equipment.

I hope the developers continue improving core gameplay mechanics and consider adding a server list instead of relying solely on quick matches.

"Industrial Annihilation" comes off like it’s trying to jam the production depth of a Factorio-style factory builder into a fast-paced RTS framework, but the end result lacks substance and clarity. Leaving you to fumble through a design that’s far too simplistic to reward experimentation. Compared to something like "Planetary Annihilation"—which managed to expand the scale and complexity by taking combat across multiple worlds—this title feels like a hollow, hurried knockoff. Worse still, the user interface is abysmal, making even basic commands a chore. In the end, "Industrial Annihilation" tries to combine industrial management and swift strategic action, but it never builds up enough depth or polish to make that hybrid approach worthwhile.

It's okay, but it's kind of boring. There is nothing really "cool" to find in the mines, and the fact that you have to level up between games to get better means you have to play the same map repeatedly to progress. I guess it's fine if the core gameplay is good, but there's just nothing to do. You just hope to get some random technology that has a button you can press; otherwise, you're just watching...

I don't like that you can't save the game. You have to finish a game before you can leave. Why?
