It's fun, it's cute, it's satisfying - get it.

Ok, after a bit of playing and now adjusting my review it feels like a compromise, it's hard to explain it doesn't quite feel or look like the old classics missing a few good touches. BUT from a play-ability stand point it is much better, and it works on my ultra wide so I appreciate that. I know the Star Wars community is likely to rip this apart but I for one appreciate the effort they tried to put into this port. If the cost of this game is a lot of money to you I would recommend you wait till it is on sale or if you have the original to just enjoy that unless it give you some major technical problems then I would give this a try. Either way this is a solid port with a handful of issues, BUT I enjoy it so Imma leave a positive review.

It's a solid nice try out of great. NOTE: For whatever reason you cannot change your team mid instant action in BF2 :( - So ya it really isn't perfect.

Edit: Ya no there are missing cut-scenes from the campaign for BF2, and the loading screen for BF1 doesn't do the beeping thing correctly or at all sometimes so yeah this is a disappointment.

Yeah ok unirocially this is a great game, go in with as little context as you can and get your friends into the mix.

I've actually complied a list and tbh this has got to be one of the top 100 games of 2023, which is wack but its great so just get it. Honestly it's worth more than 10 bucks.

Great game, some bugs but runs better than Jedi Survivor so that's good! Really deep game especially at first, in a weird way it suffers from it's own success tho where you feel like everything is thought of, but for example if you want to stop a murder before it happens even if the murderer is in the act of trying to kill someone you can't unless you want to be seen as a criminal yourself.

So some quirky stuff like that, that you wish was simulated because seemly everything is, BUT if that's where this game struggles that a real high bar so double thumbs up from me great game :)

DEV's please flesh out the enforcers a bit, it would be cool to have them work with you from time to time.

Not bad, big map, needs more missions... as it stands runs better than Jedi Survivor

TLDR:
Good game, wacky performance, buy on sale, expect to file return if it runs poorly, great story.

You need a controller to enjoy this game.

Long Form:
Game "works" - It's clear that there are some issues still, lag spikes from time to time even on my higher end PC. My recommendation buy the game on sale - set a timer so you don't play more than 2 hours (for refunds) test the performance on your PC. If you find the intro playable the rest of the game will likely run smooth enough in my experience. THE STORY is great and frankly leaves me eager to see what happens in the next game. No need to hate on the game for it's poor and I mean truly awful launch that falls to EA rushing it well before the PC port was ready.

IMPORTANT: It hasn't happened to me but I would be wary of save files corrupting so definitely only quit the game through the menu's quit to desktop option (and pray that's enough to keep it from happening)


Specs: Game was on an SSD, 32 gigs of ram, xtx 7900 GPU, R7 3700x.


OLD Takes from April Launch:

As all my friends know, I LOVE Star Wars. But I cannot play this game with the frame rates it basically locks you to with is lack of optimization.

Sure I only have a 2070S, and a R7 3700x but I can play just about any other game on the market with my ultra-wide and enjoy a solid 60 frames at least.

With this game I get 23-32 FPS maybe, even with settings tweaked and motion blur off because of the low frame rate the game just looks like a blur. Which is seriously disappointing, as I am sure the story is amazing.

Until the game is fixed I won't even bother to launch it again...


Update May 5th, still doesn't work... :[

Update May 11th, somehow the intro runs worse than it did on launch... At this point they should pay me $70 dollars to keep this ♥♥♥♥ on my computer.

Update May 17th, ran "great" for 15 minutes (the intro until the first meditation point), climbed up a bit saw a bridge and went from 30 frames to 3 frames. Couldn't even access the game menu to quit had to alt f4 again. Bro Wtf is this.
