Only in Cuphead will you be able to fight a blimp that turns into a moon, a bee that turns into a plane, and a screaming ship.

The animations, gameplay, and soundtrack aren't bad either.

One of the most humbling experiences ever.

This game is one of those games that you have to commit to. You can't just play it for a little while and come back to it later. Once you start, you have to keep going. I recently just got done with my first playthrough and wanted to share my thoughts on the game. Were there more good moments than bad? Absolutely yes. But were there some noticable flaws in the game? Also absolutely yes. Let's get to it.

Let's start off with the bad:
-The PC port is terrible. The textures are so low res and the game's capped at 30 FPS. This issue is so big that it took a modder to fix it because FromSoft wouldn't.
-Sometimes the level design is a little wonky. Best example of this is Demon Ruins/Lost Izalith.
-Difficulty spikes. I mean I get it the game's supposed to be hard, but you'd think that it would at least curve evenly.
-Some of the boss designs are pretty bad. Thankfully none of them are horrible with one exception. (if you've played the game you know which one)
-Armor stats don't even matter.

Now for the good:
+Level design is (mostly) top notch with Anor Londo, Undead Burg, and the final area being great examples.
+Some of the best bosses I've ever faced
+(Mostly) fair challenge
+Great, mostly implicit story
+Amazing soundtrack
+Praising the sun
+Everything else that isn't a negative (that isn't even sarcasm)

Please at the very least try this game. It isn't for everyone that's for certain, but for those who love games like this, this is one of the best experiences you could ever spend money on.

I can't even begin to describe Dust: An Elysian Tail's greatness. The combat and story are engaging, the characters are memorable for all of the right reasons, the art is beautiful (even the backgrounds), and the voice acting and overall sound design are really, really good. Get this game now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And when I say now, I mean NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Batman: Arkham City. Now that I've gotten a decent gaming rig, this game is amazing. The combat is simple but fun, the puzzles are challenging, the voice quality is top notch, the building parkour is nice, the graphics are great, and the story if good. I could go on, but I think you see my point. This game rules.

This is honestly one of my favorite games of all time. The gameplay is very fun and challenging, the story is very simplistic yet complex with much fan speculations, the humor is very nice, and I'm about to make a run on sentence so I'll just stop right now.

"umg tifftuh ish ded abadin shup tiem 2 paly underwash"

That's literally how all of you sound right now. I never thought this community could get worse, but look at what happened. This community is never satisfied with anything and I'm sick of it. Here's my take on this new update.

Quickplay vs Casual

Casual wins hands down. I've hated quickplay since 2014ish. It was incredibly archaic and not very much fun to use. Casual on the other hand is an improvement in every way. How did you play with your friends in quickplay? You had to be the one to queue and your friend would have to manually join you. This always took quite a lot of time and wasn't very quick for something called quickplay. Casual cuts that time by a large margin. You simply invite your friend to a party and click search. Sure the wait time is longer, but hate to break the news to you, but that's how a lot of modern multiplayer games do their queues including CSGO and Dota and look at where those games are.

Removal of autobalance

Seriously? You people are complaining about this? Literally every time I heard anyone talk about autobalance, it could be summed up as "autobalance suk volvo remuv pl0x". I was right there with them. Autobalance completely disrupted the flow of games. I can't tell you how many times I've been on the winning side and right when we're about to win, I get autobalanced to the other team and lose. I'm glad Valve removed it. How does the community respond to Valve removing an often requested to be removed feature? "umg dis ish nut faur im getung stemrold". Really people? Removal of autobalance made the games one sided? While I do agree with that somewhat, if you're getting steamrolled, think about the positives. If you can't even get out of spawn without getting killed and the other team wins by a landslide, that means the game will be over with soon so you can find a more fair one. You just need to have patience.

Competitive

This is what this update was hyped to bring and it delivered. Sure it has a lot of problems, but it's still fun. The overall feel of the game has been condensed into 6v6 matches with more strategizing, skill, and fun. I've been playing competitive lately and it's some of the most fun I've ever had in TF2, even with it's problems (leave penalties penalizing everyone, connection issues, balance problems, etc.)

Balance Changes

This is what the community needs to be talking about if anything. Not that these are bad changes, but that these are the ones that will affect the game more in the long run. Why isn't the community talking about the Mediguns now granting the speed of your heal target when only the Quick Fix did that before? Why isn't the community talking about The Sydney Sleeper actually being useful now? Why isn't the community talking about the Spy's speed buff? These are things the community needs to talk about and not stupid things like removal of autobalance.

The Spirit of TF2

I really need to get this off my chest. People are saying that this update killed the spirit of TF2. Well I say bull. The reason TF2 got so popular in the first place is because of it's color, it's personality, it's gameplay, and it's status as a giant cespool of memes. Not because of things like quickplay, autobalance, and competitive. As long as the overall color and charm of the game and it's intense gameplay don't change, this game will forever stand the test of time.

So in conclusion, this update is one of the best TF2 has ever seen. Sure it had some problems and continues to have some problems, but since when has a Valve update been good on the first day? The new casual system finally bringing TF2 into the modern multiplayer world, the removal of autobalance, competitive play, and the new balancing changes and all very much welcomed for me. Be a little more gracious people.
