- SteamVR users are viewed as exploiters just because they are playing this game in a non-standalone environment, so common to the point that players who are really new in this game in SteamVR will end up getting harassed.
- The moderation system is extremely vulnerable to tampering, you may run into some players who straight up report the whole lobby.
- The 13+ rule for communications is too dry to affect the game (There was an attempt for restrictions).

I've been using this for a few years now, i'd recommend you to support this dude through purchasing, as they didn't get this much when it was free.

either support them or cry your way to github.

But please hear me out seriously.

Rec room's community in my experience over the years is unwelcoming, I recently quit this game somewhere in 2021 after receiving massive false reports from toxic players (mostly in social lobbies, and some in ^paintball, ^reccenter, etc.), most of my sessions involving with social creativity started back in 2018.

As time passed by i migrated through accounts as my setup changes, from snikulin, to deepwombat61, and finally 2s1everts (which is my main account from now on).
The harassment I've been dealing with in this game has gone so horrible to the point that i got permanently banned, month after month i make an appeal to my ban (INCLUDING recorded evidence WITH captioning to highlight what the offensive person is saying), but all responses are not helpful and mostly decline.

We need a more better and helpful team of people that really takes stuff seriously instead of a team of people who never do the job that Against Gravity / Rec Room Corporation intended them to, We need a community where people feel greeted in a way that its done right.
But even if we as a community do these things to stop toxicity towards players who are very chill and respected by us, it will always go to waste.



That is all i can say,
and this is my genuine critical review about the game.
