Counter strike source is one of those games that if you're good at it then you have a good time and or be bad at it and have some what of bad time.
CS:S is one of the best online competitive tactical FPS with a good player base and community and if you don't want to play the "normal servers" you could ways try the custom servers like gun game,surf,jailbreak or deathmatch.
so in short you'll have fun with this game.
