It's that Ratatouille movie scene.

Nothing will beat the wonder and awe I felt playing this game at launch for the first time. Discovery, challenge, adventure, all the while learning from other Tarnished that there was yet more to explore? You could not get me to put it down. Elden Ring single-handedly reignited my love for the RPG genre, and gaming as a whole at the time, sparking my nostalgia for great games of old and burning into me a desire for more. Even as I died, and died again, and again and again.

Even a year later, there's rarely a week gone by that I'm not playing this game. After being my first, other Fromsoft games I previously avoided due to their difficulty, I now leap at the chance to challenge. This is Miyazaki and the team's Magnum Opus. So far, anyway.

More proof that Call of Duty has been morally and creatively bankrupt for years, but if you're already addicted to junk food, it's too late for you.
