Ain't going to play it. It's far from Far Harbor and even farther from Phantom Liberty.

Starfield and its DLC still needs another 2 years of development and a complete rework from the ground up.

7/10 absolutely worth a play through

DLC is hard and unfairly so at times but absolutely worth the buy.

my only gripe with the game is the final boss and the DLC just kinda ends. in a completely unsatisfying way considering all the crap you went through to get to that point the ending stinks.

new weapons/bosses/items are great tho.

Early Access Review
Darker and Darker def has its problems.

that being said: the game is so much fun and just a great time to spend with people. the PVE while it can be slow can also get incredibly fast paced and chaotic. the skill ceiling for this game is pretty high ngl, you'll run into players who have everything figured out.

Potion stacking, peak gear grinding, multiple classes, merchant quests. there's just a lot to unpack here and learn/experience.

The game is free to play (with some restrictions of course) but the developers seem willing to learn and make changes with its community and that is something worth leaving a review on.

12 hours in and I'm considering dropping the money for the full price next time i decide to drop money on a game.

great stuff.

Valve only cares about CSGO cases and selling hardware as they haven't worked on a damn thing in like decades at this point.

TF2 is in shambles cuz the botting problem isn't getting any better.

Game still need a bit more time to cook imo. it feels like a mobile game in some of the worst ways possible.
a $20 shaggy skin is laughable bad. (thanks WB)

-Promised returning players would have their items/characters back (they don't its documented by many on twitter)

-The Rift system is straight out of mobile games and it doesn't feel great, especially when a quarter of the stars are for dragging someone a long with you or using a character you might not have.

like needing joker to unlock stars when he's a newer character so most people won't have him unless they've spent money or saved enough converted currency.
(I get that this is a 2v2 platform fighting game but if i want to grind the annoying rifts alone let me do it in peace)

-Cosmetics/BP tiers are kind of mid so far aside from a few

The game still feels fun to play but there's not much new here to keep players invested or to re-invest and make it seem like continued investment in the game will revolve around just grinding out those annoying rifts.

Here's hoping ranked play is good at least

I don't think having a PSN account required is a big deal. It's the industry standard and has been for awhile now.
The company rendering the service usually wants an account. and it was stated before the game launched that it would be needed.
(OW2, Apex, Fortnite, COD, SOT all require an account for the services)

give players the option to disable cross-play first before threatening to take away their game if they don't make the account. It's not a bait and switch, its them strong arming PC players.

This game is honestly amazing, the atmosphere for the game is great.
the story is a pretty big miss so far in my opinion but the aliens and cybernetics and the ways you can change your gameplay
with different augmentations and weapons is amazing.

That being said: The game is so incredibly unstable when playing with friends and it doesn't save your mission progress incase you wanted to try switching hosts.

got about 4 hours into the campaign with some buddies and our save just completely broke. the game feels incredibly unfinished and that just sucks.

6/10. It's an ok game with some fun once you have your build going but its riddled with connection issues, crashes and a lackluster or interesting story.
