ESEA removes league fees for the Asia-Pacific Open Division

Up until recently the Asian region has struggled to make an impact in the international Counter Strike scene. However, huge steps have been made with Tyloo having a recent breakout performance surprising Luminosity and Team Liquid at the recent DreamHack Malmo event. The Mongolz also have been making a name for themselves as they defeated Renegades at IEM Taipei to take home $30,000 in winnings.

We want to continue to build and develop the Asian scene which is why we are removing the league fees for Season 22 of the ESEA Asia-Pacific Open League and refunding anyone who has already paid their fees. Therefore the event will be free to enter although as with all ESEA products you will require premium in order to participate. This will allow more teams to compete for a slot at the Global Premier Challenge where top teams from Europe, North America, Australia, Brazil and Asia will come together to do battle for their share of $50,000.

Furthermore we aim to add a new Asian Premier division for next season as we expand the league and add more prize money. This season’s Open division will act as a qualifier for next season’s Premier division so a strong placing in Season 22 will have you moved up to the new Premier division for next Season.

Registration for Season 22 is currently open and will close on May 25th. More information about the ESEA Global Premier Challenge can be found here[play.esea.net].

All game servers are down right now due to hardware failure.

Unfortunately, senseless is currently out of the country and no one is able to or has the access to physically check the server at this time (and for some of you guys: no, the server is not in my house, sorry to disappoint).

No ETA as to when they're going to be back up.. Or if they will ever be.

Update (05/28/14 07:31 PHT): All servers are now back up.

Update (05/27/14 21:31 PHT): Power has been restored in the area a few hours ago but for some reason the server failed to re-initialize. We're working on getting it back up ASAP.

Jk. The servers are currently down due to a power outage in the area. Please stop adding/PMing us asking why it's down or when it's going back up. They should automatically go back up once the power has been fully restored. Will update this post to relay vital information, if any.
