Sometimes, it is only at your lowest point that you take a leap of faith into the unknown. That you dare to do what you never believed possible.

As you all know, vic boss and I have persisted for a long time with Unturned, long after VV had become dormant and its name but a distant memory in the thoughts of our old foes, longer than either of us care to admit.

It wasn't just that it was one of the few games that brought us together - it was more than that. It was the memory of good times gone by, of new friends made and daunting challenges faced together. I think on some level, we both clung on to a hope that Unturned could return; that it could be the game we wanted it to be and lure our long-departed comrades back in.

Sadly, we have reached one of those points from which there is no turning back. One of those points from where you must stick or twist, without doubts or second glances. Our love for what Unturned used to be has put up an admirable fight, but it has lost its battle with how frustrating we find the game. In order for VV to be reborn, we must find greener pastures. It's official - we've moved to Arma 3.

It is a bittersweet feeling to finally leave Unturned - not for what it is, but for what it meant to me and vic boss; what it meant to all of us.

No matter our background or nationality, Unturned brought us together under VV's banner. And it was on Unturned that VV was born and turned from a small but elite unit, to a fearsome battalion. There can be no denying the great memories that we have had in this game.

First there were two, then there were many. From fighting against hackers to running entire servers. From vic boss' singlehanded takedown of the Sinewave server, to VV rallying its troops in the face of injustice against Legends of Gaming. We have been there and done it all.

Gentlemen, we begin a new era. We'll see you on the battlefield.

As VV went dark a while ago, I've changed the page to reflect this. Removal of rankings and a couple of other things.

I may play some Unturned in December as there have been some interesting updates, but nothing particularly exciting. vic boss is still busy with his PhD so we will see about the much vaunted "switch to Arma" given that not everybody has it.

I'm perfectly happy for VV to remain dormant until the right time should come for the return of VV. Until then, goodnight.

Vulgure Vultures, that is a name I have not heard in a very long time. VV has become a shell of its former self. Once upon a time, we were 50-60 active members strong, with cohesive yet vastly different personalites on the battlefield. Now look at us, 12 members with not a single game to unite us.

As I mentioned months ago, unturned was dying and now we can fully assume that the game is truly dead. I wanted to make a switch to arma 3 by December. That plan is still in effect. We will be switching fully to arma 3. For those who own a computer that can run arma, please leave a comment with the predicted spec level that your computer will run the game at. There are only 12 members so I expect each and every one of you to contribute.

Let us restore our former glory with this. There were stories about what happened. Its true, all of it. Vulgure Vultures; they're real.

Before anyone asks, the title is a reference to Season 2 of True Detective.

As you can imagine, it's been real quiet around here lately. Nelson's only releasing updates every week now, which is actually a good thing, since now that means there is actually something in each update.

Overall, I feel like this is the period of night before the dawn for VV. Here's why.

There's still no good reliable EU servers for Chernarus and Pine Valley. The creator of Pine Valley has been delaying this 'big update' for weeks. No word from the creator of Burried about when Jungle will be coming out. Dossfire has stayed true to character and chosen the path of cowardice by putting firexteam.dk back to classic. The guy who made the best gun pack in the game seems to have abandoned the project since the switch to Unity 5.

vic boss, Nico, Dino and Shadow (the heart and soul of VV) have almost entirely stopped playing Unturned. Dino has a lot of stuff going on, Shadow and Nico mostly play other games and vic boss is pretty much done with Unturned altogether.

In short, it's all looking bleak. But hope is on the horizon. VV will soon be making the switch to Arma 3, and it is likely to happen sooner rather than later. With the core of VV (myself not included) no longer playing Unturned, there's no real reason to stay attached to this game any longer, and with that our obligation to call ourselves an Unturned group.

I should mention that there is a new default map coming out called Yukon which is an all-snow map based on survival rather than combat like PEI is. That's slated for release this week, but I wouldn't get my hopes up on it being a game-changer. Maybe it will be, maybe it won't, but Nelson has a track record of not delivering when it really counts.

Dear VV,

Very recently I received a message from an unknown account by the name "Root". Besides disagreeing with my move to Arma 3, he stated that I shouldn't be attempting to force people over to the game. Firstly, I'd like to say that as a clan, we will not be completely dropping unturned. We are simply switching our support to Arma 3. If you wish to continue playing unturned, continue to do so. But as I stated in my previous post, you will receive less support. This is a natural consequence of switching to Arma 3.

I don't say i know everything about you, because if I knew where you live, I would be on my way to you to beat a lesson into ur head, but as I said, I don't know where you are, so the only thing I could do is to tell you, that ordering people around to do what they probably don't want to and to buy a new PC and Arma 3 or they'll be kicked out of the group, and the thing that if they want to play Unturned they wont recieve support, in other words, they will be kicked, is making me think that you're not a leader, no, you're a dictator.

If you want to be a good leader, then, you have to understand what being a gamer means, cuz you don't seem to understand, that being a gamer does not mean that you have to play the more modern games and to have a pc that can run every game in more than 100 FPS, cuz i know you have more than 32 Gb RAM, but being a gamer means that you play with games that you like and not that what others want you to and to play those games with your friends who like that game too. I'm not even sorry for my bad english."
