The short answer is that, with all of the proposed mod tools, we could pretty much add anything to the game if 1) it's supported by the Stingray engine, and 2) allowed under the terms of the to-be-announced EULA.

What makes it into 'approved mods' is also yet-to-be-decided, but we know it won't include cheats and griefing. Unapproved mods could still be anything covered by 1 and 2, they just won't talk to Fatshark's backend for items, cheat protection, and unlocks.

Yeah I'm pretty optimistic. I would definitely be excited with a level editor or entire map-making being possiblt. Other than that I think if you look at all the mods for Vermintide 1 that people have gotten super creative with, there's definitely a lot of potential, especially if the lobbies being split!

I have been thinking about this a lot too. and i feel like there's no really great compromise between "zero progress saved" and "progress remains when mods are disabled"

Since I was the one who linked this on the steam board, I feel like this is directed at me partly. It was mostly to educated people that this group existed and that it was open to the public, not to ruin anything. It wasn't "investigative journalism" it was "hey there's a modding group you might not know about" If this ISN'T official channels, maybe you could make it private because once it's public, anything you say as a dev basically becomes what Fatshark says. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it or anything. You can't really have it both ways though, either the information here is common knowledge because it's a public group, or it's privilaged knowledge because it's a closed group. Like I said, I'm not trying to be the bad guy here, but it's public and I thought people would like to know so I linked it on the steam board.
