CS:GO Hacking Scandal
I wanted to talk about something that's effecting alot of people right now. Recently Valve detected a brand new hack within the video game Counter Strike: Global Offensive. But the real news lies in the fact that several pro players were caught using this hack. And were consequently VAC banned and kicked off of their respective teams.

This comes at kind of a bad time for the Pro scene because the Dreamhack Invitational is coming up. So people are kind of freaking out about all of this. The most high profile player VAC banned is TItan's player KQLY. Some people have even began to call this the CS:GO witch hunt.

Now what I wanted to talk about in this opinion piece is what our reaction should be. Compared to what people's reaction are at the moment.

"Trust is forever broken for the CS pro scene. Instead of talking about amazing plays, clips will now be the discussion of whether hacks were used or not. Going to be hard for CS to recover from this."

Your trust shouldn't forver be broken in the CS Pro scene. The truth is that if you look at any professional sports league out there in the world, you will find cheaters in some shape or form. Whether it's steroids or throwing plays in football. No matter where you go in this world you will find people willing to take short cuts to score the win. That's just the truth.

We shouldn't be surprised that some professional players would get VAC banned for using certain assists? Now am I defending them? Of course not! I believe it's dishonorable and ridiculous. But we shouldn't stop supporting the CS:GO scene, and we shouldn't stop supporting e-sports.

E-sports and video games are becoming the biggest entertainment medium and sports scene in the history of the world. This is us you guys! It's our time to shine. So let's continue supporting our pro players, and also support Valve in detecting the cheaters!
