Hi all, I think its long over due now that we made some changes here on the T.S.W.G.O.T.Y pages.

Red & I had a chat a few weeks back over direction changes.

I think the train sim bashing that got us all together , is now well past it sell by date.

leaving this site in little more than a limbo state for the last few year , with only the odd did in the direction of DTG now and again.

I think a better use for this site would be to move over to a general Sim gaming over view, for all those games we play both via Steam or outside Steam.

This would be better use of this space while better serving & informing all Sim players that use this , about everything that is going on in the sim world.

Be it big name's like TS or FSX through to the lesser known smaller indipendant & free sim's.

The site would have to re-named & re-structured & the layout changed to allow those who want to to share infomation tips & links for their chosen Simulations.

If you want to throw you own idea's into the ring please feel free to do so below.

But I would love to see this site active again has it was when it started but in a more productive way now.

Train Simulator 2017 is, according to the forums.. due out sometime this week.

Make sure that you do a full backup of your current installation before the update push.

We all know DTG/RSC history of updates and issues that do not get fixed for months.

After almost ten years in development the long awaited follow up to what some say is the most realistic Train Simulator that was Zusi 2.

Based on real world train oprating systems , with full train systems simulated ,
Full Signals & safety systems .

The Sim is so far only based on the German trains & systems , just like OMSI bus sim game are.

The developer told me a while back that its could be modded to work for other countries rail system's however that would have to be down to modders doing it them self using the built in editing package.


The Sim is shipped via a USB stick you do not have to be online to play it.
The licence is for no comercial use only.

There is a comercial version of the sim that as been in use for a long time by Train driving collages in German to train future drive's


The Hobby version retails for 64 Euros , Not sure how that works out with shipping taxes & so on outside of the Germany.

I hope to get my hands on it soon. I tried the demo a while back, lets say it was a little steep to get to grips with but ran well .

It may not have DTG Eyecandy but you need more than three buttons to get things going to .

Also includes all correct DB Rolling stock for 1970 through to 2013 . with options to edite your own trains routes & Time tables.

I have re-tried the demo based on one of the training school short routes & even on simple mode its harder than TS2015.

The Train side window helps you to master the basics for driving & the complexe mixed signal types . its in English & gives you several clear options for types signal setting from stop to reduced speeds .

Sifa is fully working must be pressed ever 30 sec's also plenty of other button to press for signals & E - Brake . Horn must be sounded before tunnel entires.


Advanced options I can only add more brain over load.
