[TooEz] - Invite-Only

No one is innocent of toxic behaviour in this community, we all say and do things we shouldn't from time to time. It is how we continue to act and behave towards each other that is important. Even those we dislike do not deserve poor treatment.

I chose not to moderate behaviour in the group simply because I do not play enough to experience it first-hand, and this group operates very decentralised - I simply do not have the control to keep everyone behaving sensibly.

That being said, we have all noticed an increase in toxicity over the last few months. While we all like to mess around, the behaviour and language being used by our members and those in the wider network has got to a point where it is resulting in people putting their accounts at risk of bans, and their friendships at risk of breaking. I do not want to see things like this happening to anyone.

While I know we can't all get along, and there will always be issues, I'd really appreciate it if we all take a moment to think about some of the behaviour we and others have been partaking in. Insurgency is a small game, with a tight community - all the time we are fighting, we make ourselves look bad, and upset each other.

If we continue to act the way we are acting, the decline of this game will only continue. It is our responsibility, like it or not, to keep this game alive. It is our friendships, our teams, our squads, and our networking that keep this game going, and without that, we will never keep this great community alive.

I don't want to tell anyone what to say or do, how to behave, or who to be friends with. But please, please think of each other as human beings; treat each other with respect, even when we may not deserve it.

I know some of you may be asking what happened to J. I don't wish to say much on the subject so I will keep it brief:

J got a temporary ban for a few days. He was reported for some poor language he put in the in-game chat. It is my belief that he regrets what he said. I hope to see him back soon with as much energy as he always brings.

Why is he not in the group?: When I spoke with him about his ban and the reasons for it, we disagreed on the fault and he made the decision to leave the steam group. However, he and everyone else is still a part of the wider network so don't expect this to change anything about how the community operates.
