Games You Look Forward To
Hey there all!

Was hoping to get a gauge on what games you are looking most forward to that are coming out in the next few months. Sharing the game you are most looking forward to will help out with community staff in picking what games we'll buy a pile of for giveaways. Plus, it helps to gauge where you guys are in terms of hype/excitement over a given title.

I'll start with the one I'm looking most forward to.

Anno 2205
When: November 2015

Anno 1404, aka "Dawn of Discovery" was a masterpiece of strategy trade gaming and city building. That game sucked up a terrifying amount of my life, and I thought that for sure, the game studio that stumbles upon producing something like this inevitably dies or goes on to churn out a half-baked "Trying to Fix What Isn't Broken" hyper-simplification of the previous game when they do a sequel. See: Empire Earth, Settlers, SimCity, etc, etc. But to my surprise, Anno 2070 was a stunning and glorious sequel that followed up on a fictional world that would be where humanity arrived at if the movie "2012" had come to pass. They didn't fix anything that wasn't broken, they just gave the player more of what they wanted, and more of what makes the game a vacation.

Anno Online was their huge blunder, a time-gate me-too version of some of the worst social media games out there. Played briefly, and like thousands other quit in disgust. I sincerely thought, "okay, damn, this is the end of this outstanding series."

But there it sits, Anno 2205. Teasing with its space elements and moon city construction. I can't wait for this. I may take some days off from work just to play this thing until it starts infecting my sleep with futuristic visions of sweeping skyscrapers, mind-boggling technologies, and the nuances of intricate trade systems each functioning in harmony with another to support a growing population of techno-patricians. I'm severely, painfully, achingly looking forward to Anno 2205, ya'll.

I am totally down for Fallout 4. I have a thing for Bethesda games and it seems like it literally, no joking, take about a full year to complete games like Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas. I expect to be off into a post-apocalyptic nightmare for the majority of 2016.

I do have a dilemma, though. I like to wait a bit and get the game as a bundled deal with all/most of the DLC included. Sorry, but I may to buy them each individually because I'm sure I won't want to wait.

Same as 17seconds, Fallout 4. I've put at least 800 hours of game play into Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas combined (Yes over 1/288th of my life has been spent playing these games), so I'm going to play this until my system dies from over use and I have to buy a new one. Special edition already ordered and I have some special plans for that game :D

With so many hours logged, I always got a kick that they named the game "Half-Life", because that was also a description of what my life became during that time long ago. And then they came out with Oblivion, and then there was Fallout, and well, I just couldn't escape the irony.

I'm with 17seconds and EmpereorSunLao. I can't wait for Fallout GOTY and will probably buy it on release and pick up the DLCs as they become available.

If we are including non-Steam games, I'm quite looking forward to the new Star Wars Battlefront. Not my usual type of game but I need to wield a lightsaber and pilot an X-wing ;-)

I would like to mention, I also have a ridiculous amount of hours on Fallout3 and New Vegas but FO3 was on PS3 and much of my New Vegas playtime doesn't show because I used the FOSE launcher (almost all of my FO3 PC time doesn't show for the same reason)

Fallout 4 of course, but replaying Fallout 3 and Fallout NV to prep.

Looking forward to Fallout 4 and the new Tomb Raider on the PC! Still cannot believe they took Microsoft money and did the Xbox exclusive.

Although, It's not coming out until next year, 4Q2016. So I'm also looking forward to Fallout 4 and DLC / expansions for older games to keep me busy.

I was looking forward to Battlefield Star Wars and also looking forward to Rainbow Six... Then I found out that neither has a single player campain.. I do not play multiplayer. So it is now down to the new Assasins Creed Syndicate. Hopefully Ubisoft learned a lesson last year about releasing a completed game. Never the less I am not pre-ordering any games again after that fiasco.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided and The Division. Not getting any games in between as I still have to finish MGS V and Have to explore Witcher 3...I yearn for the days I was in college when I could play all day all night...if only there was a way to game while at work lol...:steammocking:

Witcher 3 is killing me. So much time. SO MUCH. And they are making a Cyberpunk game that they have said will be significantly larger than the world of the Witcher 3.

Cyberpunk 2077 looks great. Fallout 4 along with the new Deus Ex, Tomb Raider and X-Com games round out my upcoming wish list. And I wish Telltale would hurry up with the last episode of Game of Thrones!

Are you serious about TellTale GoT? I thought they were finished? I actually bought the thing thinking they were finished, and have it in my queue. I wasn't going to play the last 4 episodes until I knew I could *complete* the thing. Gahhh! The anticipation is agony!

The game I was so looking forward to launched as of today, and the reviews for Anno 2205 are... "Mixed". Comparisons are being drawn between what happened to SimCity 5. In essence, a vast dumbing down of what made the previous Anno games wonderful masterpieces.

I'm going to wait a month or two. Maybe they'll.. maybe they'll fix it?
