What Movie Did You Watch Last? 🎥
I guess super's thread is more for incoming movies, rather than discussing movies we've seen, so I'm setting up this thread for discussing our opinions about movies.

I watched Logan yesterday. I really liked it, if I have to be honest. Easily one of the best movies to come out this year, then again, it's the only film from this year I've seen so far.

There's a movie for free on the Windows 10 store called Stalingrad. I know nothing about it but I plan to check it out tonight.
Huh, funny you should mention that. I think they're showing it on TV tomorrow.

Saw that 'Split' the other day. Now there's a movie I really enjoyed.
Main character did a great job with the personalities, and the story overall kept me intrigued.
Another quite refreshing positive was that the protagonist girl seemed to not be a complete dullard, and was actually quite clever in many instances. (granted I haven't watched a slasher/horror genre type film like this is aaaaages, so I'm unsure if the cringey and overplayed trope of 'everyone is a moron' is still a genre standard or not.)
Very nice Shyamalan reveal/ending also.

Just watched that new Beauty and the Beast last night too. Was about what I expected.
I can sort of understand where some of the criticism was coming from in terms of it being essentially just the exact same Disney movie in live action format. In saying that however I personally don't regard this as a bad thing, and don't feel the same way negatively.
I actually wish more adaptations were like this and would stop going off on their own with alterations and unneeded changes, to be honest.

Which one? The 1993 one? If so.. that one is amazing!

Split - 7/10 - I liked it, but it was a fairly straightforward plot. I expected a little more after reviews, but I still liked it.

Alien: Covenant - 6/10 - It was so/so. I don't necessarily like the way they've taken the story after Prometheus. The CGI aliens were clearly CGI, I thought it would be better. The "twist" near the end was not much of a surprise.

Saw Assassin's Creed last night - 4/10 - Horrible film. I thought there'd be some redeeming qualities since I like Fassbender, but it was just terrible.

Ugh I watched it the same day I watched Underworld: Blood Wars(10/10 movie btw) so it's technically the last movie I watched, but it just felt like the movie just kinda 'existed' and you were never really given a reason to care about Fassbender's character other than his mom dying in the beginning because assassins, I guess?

I went into it knowing it was bad, so really low expectations, and it managed to still come off as even worse than I expected. I can only imagine how someone watching the film with no experience of the games must've felt.

I've seen Sahara today. The Netflix movie with the snakes. What a weird movie. It wasn't bad... just weird. It was a story about a snake sneaking into an area of high society snakes, ends up falling in love with one of the snakes, who then gets kidnapped and ends up in a dance cabaret... from which our "street" snake has to rescue her.

Not bad... just weird.

Because i know the games i was annoyed by it. They could at least have stuck to the games, that would have been bad enough... but they had to "hollywoodify" it.

I almost watched The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Electric Boogaloo yesterday. Then I remembered it was terrible, so I didn't watch it.
