Weekly TF2 Highlander Fun Cups

Below is the majority of the current rules/setup. If you have any issues/problems please contact an admin:

Setup

Thursday Nights
Signup in the steam group discussion
Starting at 20:00 CEST; A player from each team must be present in the steam group chat throughout the cup
45 Mins assigned for each game
Will normally be played on the upcoming UGC map
*Should* all be finished by 23:00 CEST
All teams are now welcome this season
The format of the cup will change each week. It really does depend entirely on the number of signups. If we have an odd number of signups it does mean that teams in one bracket will have to sit out one game each. We apologise for this and if you have any suggestions around this please put them in the feedback thread. Thanks.

Rules

UGC rules and configs must be used

Exceptions to Rules

All mercs are allowed by default; these cups are for practise/fun
If a team is more than 15 mins late they must ready up, take default loss or agree to lower the time limit (this is to keep the cup running smoothly on time)
Bans from ETF2L and UGC are both upheld unless opponents agree otherwise

Specific Map Rules

For 5cp maps: First to 4 wins or 30 mins
For koth maps: First to 4 wins or 30 mins
For payload maps: Single AB format to be played

Since UGC will be back on September 9th it seems like it's time to start up these cups again! Inviting all teams this time to compete with us in our One Night Cups. I will contacting all team leaders throughout platinum/silver to let them know. Just like before our cups will be weekly on Thursdays starting at 20 CEST.

Signup post for the first cup (currently looking at it being on both granary & borneo) will be up shortly.

Was pulled into tonight's cup by a few friends. It was great fun, even though we got our butts kicked. Thanks a lot for organizing these cups!

@Oscar: A stock fun cup would be fun because every class has to give up on things. Its for everyone <3

There should be more happening throughout the off-season.

At the moment, it doesn't look like there will be one this week. Although, if there is interest, I'm sure we can get something running.

The biggest problem is making sure we have enough ideas, so help there is always welcome. Also, you have to make sure that it won't completely ruin the game for some classes.

For example, I considered doing a stock weapon cup. But, when you think about it, is that going to be fun for Pyros or Spies? That doesn't mean the idea won't resurface, but it probably won't appear if we have better ideas.

Yeah, they have kinda become a part of my teams weekly schedule, and they are always fun and good practise. Would be awesome if they could be running between seasons
