what does 'not update-resistant' mean? The circles look like crap, and new paints don't come out that often.

It means that I don't have to maintain a old, badly implemented system that requires a fair bit of manual intervention to keep updated.

The dots have better visibility for darker paints (After Eight was practically invisible), use less resources and don't require an additional HTTP request per paint type.

That's less server overhead, less client overhead, code that works cross-game, and is always updated for anyone using derivative code when I release 2.7. (No need to host a bunch of images either)

Item rarity - as said elsewhere, is dependant on Valve adding it to the API.

Page links - there is already a background tint applied to the active page that should serve this purpose. Pagination is also a possibility however, outright single page is a no-no though.

Traders notes - under consideration.

Nope, the icon system was removed. They're not update-resistant and I'm not willing (or currently able) to maintain them.

They're either using manual entry, or they're parsing the items_game file. In either case, it's a pain in the ass. Since they'll be having to manually enter data each update, or wasting an API call just to get a link to another file which then has to be parsed with bespoke code.

The support is already there, it's just waiting for Valve to make changes to the API so we can get the data. Until that time, there is nothing we can do.

I'm not really sure what the point of your post is, since you seem to have discovered a solution yourself.

Regardless, this code is very old and very ugly, so it is not really feasable for me to support it's continued use. Sorry.

You should be contacting Steam support, there is nothing we can do.
